Food was amazing, environment was cozy & romantic & reminded me of time spent in Paris. Staff were attentive & accommodating especially for my 7year old son who was with us for our anniversary dinner. Would return when visiting Montréal again & highly recommend to others.
What's not to love at Le P'tit Plateau ? The food is excellent, their classic "cassoulet du P'tit Plateau" is to die for. It's one of the best, if not the best, cassoulet available in Montreal. Le P'tit Plateau is one of the very few bring your own wine restaurant where the food is on par with the best bistros of the city. I highly recommend it.
All the flavours were great. We had escargot & foie gras to start & then cassoulet & venison. I would definately come back & recommend this restaurant
Highly recommend, party of 3, we had the escargot, 2 different duck dinners & a beef dinner & all were first rate! Bring your own wine.
The food & the attention was amazing! Highly recommend it!
the food was amazing, the service was amazing, would recommend to anyone!
I love this restaurant. The food is impeccable,& always super Delicious.. The service always great, & honesty my favourite French fair in Montreal. You won't leave hungry, which can happen with French cuisine. BYOW, Seriously, it's a magnificent place. I highly recommend it.
BYOB bistro like with a southwest French influenced menu. Compact meat based plates. Very friendly & convivial atmosphere & service. Good value & highly recommend.
Our dinner was excellent & the service was very warm & friendly. Most of our group ordered the magret & enjoyed it thoroughly. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone interested in a high-quality meal in a very simple setting.
Amazing food, great hospitality, would definitely recommend friends to visit this establishment.
We had a wonderful evening at Le P'tit Plateau - a favourite whenever we are in Montreal. It was also exciting as it was our first inside dining experience since March 2020. Le P'tit Plateau has a comfortable laid back atmosphere & friendly service. We had the lamb shanks, grilled magret & grilled venison & all were excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Amazing 4 course meal. Food was delicious. Cozy atmosphere. Greet service. Would 100% recommend!
Very good food & lovely ambiance, highly recommend.
Excellent classic French inspired food. Super attentive & helpful wait staff. Highly recommend dinner there if in Montreal.
Food & service were extraordinary. Would highly recommend. I think we tasted everything on the menu.
Great restaurant, great staff & excellent food. We highly recommend this restaurant.
One of my best experiences in my life. Food was top notch. We over ate because we wanted to try everything & was worth it. Would highly recommend this place (make reservations).
Quaint little French Bistro with very creative menu. I ordered the duck magret with foie gras & cooked just right. My dish was dilectible & my friend had the swordfish. She was also satisfied with her dish. The presentation for both dishes was lovely. We also had dessert, the crème brûlée which was very good & the homemade sorbet( three different flavours). The pear flavour was the only one that we did not like. The mango & raspberry flavours were delicious, like eating real fruit. The waiters were both from France very attentive & friendly. The e decor was beatiful. & reminded me of being in France. A plus was that it was a bring your own wine. I would absolutely recommend & definitely go back go back.
It was family diner on Saturday evening, We brought 2 bottles of wine & waite opened red one right away while second white one was put on, We had fir different starters & for different main courses.Deer steak was absolutely the winner followed closely by bavette, Plenty of bread to fill if need, Overall great food & super atmosphere Definitely recommend & to come back
From start to finish you truly feel at home. The menu has a good variety of choice. The Bavette Angus & deer where perfect at the rare cooking. The lamb confit was definitely the best choice. Do not order the deer medium as it will be harder. The sides vegetables had a good variety. The foie gras was exquisite. The Creme Brûlée was at its root but delicious, the ile flottante meringues & chunk of caramel excellent I would personally have a ticker Creme anglaise but by far the best dessert for flavour, the chocolate croquant was good. Overall for the price, very good would recommend & come back.
If only I lived in Montreal-- I would be here every week. What a welcoming staff. What a delightful ambiance. What WONDERFUL food. Every morsel on every plate was devoured. The Armagnac prunes with ice cream for dessert is a "must have". My husband & I dined with friends, & each of us had the same reaction. "Yums" to every course. I highly recommend Le P'tit Plateau. I can't wait to go back again.
Wonderful experience! The service was attentive yet not over bearing (we always had water & bread). The ambiance was warm & inviting. The food was great - true French dishes that were well executed. The great part is it is BYOB which makes for good value at the end of the night. Would highly recommend & look forward to going back!
Fantastic service, the food was impeccable & well rounded. Would recommend highely. Hopefully this place stays under the radar
Excellent & classic French food in a cozy & unpretentious atmosphere. This is one of my Montreal favourites! Great location in the Plateau off the main streets. As a bring your own wine, it is great value for money. Highly recommend!
We were in Montreal for a week, eating in a different restaurant every night, & this was by far the best meal we had. The space is small, but very comfortable & pleasant to be in, the service is excellent, & the food was imaginative, well executed, & delicious. On the night we went, there was only one waiter to attend to 10 or so tables; he had no help seating, clearing, or bringing out food. But he was always there when we wanted him, & never bothered us when we didn't. He did appear to be out of breath a few times, but that wasn't his fault. The menu is brief, but we still had to think hard when choosing, since everything on it was tempting. We were both satisfied with our choices. My duck was perfectly cooked, & expertly presented; the sides were delightful. My wife's lamb was the same for her (I had some, but preferred the duck; she had some of mine, & preferred hers. Perfect). What we saved by bringing our own bottle of wine, we tipped the waiter. It was worth it. If you want an excellent meal in an understated but congenial atmosphere, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you want Disney food in a cramped, overstated room full of ersatz ambiance, stay away, & let the rest of us enjoy it.
Charming little restaurant. The owner is friendly & lovely. The food was the highlight of our trip. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was wonderful & the service was great with very friendly waitstaff. I would highly recommend this neighborhood gem!
Very small non-pretentious BYOW restaurant with excellent quality of food! It was impossible to park anywhere around the restaurant & we had to park 3 blocks down from the restaurant. At the end the owner mentioned to us that there is a parking across the street & it costs 10$, which would be great if we knew that before. But the restaurant is about the food & not parking, right? The cuisine is French Sud-Ouest. A lot of dishes with duck & fois gras. The dessert was excellent as well! It's not a posh restaurant, but food, their taste & presentation are 5 stars! Quality/price ratio is good. Will recommend it to my friends & come back again!
