I stopped in for breakfast & really enjoyed the overall vibe of the place-relaxed & welcoming. The food was tasty & came in a generous portion; I ended up saving half to enjoy later as lunch. The coffee was also excellent, & the service was warm & friendly throughout.
That said, the wait for food was longer than expected, though it seems like a small kitchen doing its best, so I can understand the delay.
One downside worth noting: the washroom situation was a bit off-putting. There's no on-site restroom-it's a shared facility with nearby shops, & unfortunately, it wasn't very clean. At a certain price point, you'd hope for a better experience on that front.
Depuis peu sur le sol canadien, nous cherchions un endroit agréable où clôturer notre journée après une très belle randonnée pédestre dans le parc naturel de La Mauricie. Lorsque nous avons poussé la porte, nous avons immédiatement compris que nous ne nous étions pas trompés. Quel accueil chaleureux de la serveuse qui a constamment semblé accorder autant d'importance aux habitués qu'à deux touristes français pas trop habitués aux usages québécois. Sous ses conseils avisés nous avons commandé tout les deux des pâtes aux fruits de mer ainsi que pour moi une bière IPA pour accompagner mon repas. Produit de l'établissement qui est également une microbrasserie, elle fut suivie par une seconde toujours aussi bonne. Les plats très bons, ont réchauffé nos coeurs & nos corps. Rassasiés nous avons terminé par une infusion & un très bon café. Le décor est lui aussi chaleureux.
Dommage que nous habitions à plus de 5 000 km sinon nous y serions certainement revenus !
