Located on McGill Street, Le 409 is a contemporary Indian restaurant and lounge with a London influence.
The 409 offers a fine range of classic Indian dishes with a selection of delicious fusion creations. From traditional curries that make up vindaloo lamb to poutine with butter chicken, sit back in a warm and comfortable atmosphere in a Bollywood / Havana setting with one of our famous cocktails.

The place has a really good ambience that gets bowled over by the amazing food. An elevated taste of Indian food while retaining a lot of its flavors & some originals mixed in. If the ambience & food doesn't get you happy enough, their superfast service & really friendly staff will surely get there. The place being fully packed is a testament to the 5 star experience of this place. This is on my list of must go restaurants whenever I visit Montreal.View more

Amazing indian food in Montreal, everything blew past any of my expectations, everything was dleicious, the cocktails were phenomenal, & the deconstructed samosa left everyone speechless, no joke, it was that good. It is rare that a restaurant Wows me in Montreal. But le 409 did just that. Le 409 is a well-oiled operation (trained & educated staff, good ambience, the cooking skills were great, good drinks, good choices of wines -even the wines by the glass selection is really good, an overall good dining experience), a superb restaurant. As far as the food goes, the fundamentals of Indian cuisine are respected & applied (the menu is composed of traditional fares for the most part), but do not be surprised to see creations of their own as well (which is refreshing & appropriate in the context of an eclectic city like Montreal). Le 409 has the looks of a trendy gastropub , but they did not allow that to distract from what matters: they are cooking proper Indian food (which makes sense since the people at former classic Indian restaurant Atma are also behind Le 409). This is one of the better Indian restaurants in Montreal. & Chapeau to Hugo's superb service & leadership (to be great, a restaurant operation needs a leader like you. Obviously, that superb dinner testifies to that).View more

The food was pretty tasty, but the cauliflower in the Aloo Gobi was undercooked & the Vindaloo was all heat & no flavor. The eggplant, chicken curry, lamb korma were nice enough. The appetizers were tasty, but the Onion Bahjees were just 3 oversized pieces & would be better in a smaller format with more pieces. The Mango Lassis were a bit too thick & heavy on the mango & served in a thin glass, I have had better. The place looks nice, but the music is played too loud & it was hard to have a conversation with someone right in front of me. I don't think I'd pick this place again.View more
