About us
La Vieille Banque Restaurant opened in 1984 in the former Provincial Bank of Canada building, in Old Sainte-Rose. Originally renowned for its wood-oven pizza, the chef transformed the establishment into an Italian fine cuisine restaurant in 1995.
It is a happy coincidence that the safe was converted into a kitchen, keeping the most audacious creations of its chef secure! Today, the restaurant is very popular for its terrace and warm atmosphere, in beautiful Old Sainte-Rose. Be it during the many festivals overlooking the boulevard (Rose-Art festival, children's festival, etc.), or after a leisurely walk along the Mille-Îles River, the inquisitive ones who stop inevitably end their pleasant day in an excellent way.

Simply put , REAL Italian food. You want a taste of italy? This is the place! Everything is amazing here. Only problem with that is , what to eat cause everything is so good! Carmine the owner & cook is second to none! Come try it. You will never be dissappointed. & dont leave without trying his homemade Tiramisu. Best i have ever had!View more

We have been to this restaurant for a celebration. We were a group of 12 people. We had to wait at least 40min to get the entree. We ordered the chef's menu & unfortunately were disappointed by the quality & the taste of the food. We ordered a stake AAA with no potatoes; we got potato & a chewy steak, one of the worst cut of steak with no seasoning & a fatty ok sauce. Also we were recommended the lobster which started with very tender bites but ended up with a superchewy uneatable lobster tail (to be fair the sauce was good). For appetizers, the burrata was good & fresh. The octopus lacked seasoning & per my opinion avarage. The ceviche lacked the citrusy & fresheness. All in all, for the price we paid, this is a disappointing experience.View more
