Review Summary

La Maison Grecque is described as warm and welcoming, with generous portions, delicious Greek dishes, and a cozy ambiance that makes every visit feel like a celebration. The service is repeatedly praised for being attentive, friendly, and professional, with staff who explain the menu and check in without being overbearing. The menu features classics such as moussaka, souvlaki, calamari, dolma and tzatziki, all described as flavorful and well prepared, often accompanied by warm bread and comforting soups. The atmosphere is likened to a Greek island or homey setting, with a charming terrace that enhances the dining experience. Bring your own bottle is a popular plus, with nearby options to pick up wine, and the BYOB setup is frequently highlighted as a notable perk. Prices are regarded as reasonable for the portions and quality, making it a common choice for birthdays, family gatherings, or casual meals with friends. Overall, the place comes across as reliable and consistently satisfying, offering authentic flavors, a welcoming team, and a memorable ambiance that keeps guests returning.

Super authentic experience 🇬🇷 warm & friendly staff welcomed me. I tried the traditional moussaka & the serving is generous! Be hungry when you go there. I had the opportunity to try the traditional lentil soup as well as Galaktobureko dessert. At this restaurant you can bring your own wine & the decorations make you feel like you're at a Greek home.

Service was to die for, the only reason for a four rating was underwhelming tomato orzo soup. Portions were generous, ingredients fresh & environment very pleasant. We would go back the next time we are in Montréal.

Friendly & efficient service. Did not charge cake cutting fee for large groups. Byow helps a lot.
Both the souvlaki & the chicken had this salty honey mustard sauce that wasn't great, where a simple garlic herb sauce would have been much better. The side salad barely had dressing on it. The chicken cream soup was good. The calamari was okay, small portion & basic for the price. The Greek coffee was as described.

Inflation & a super bad economy really limits how much we can spend going out to restaurants. Prices are... INSANE! However? Le Maison Grecque was very smart. Before all of this craziness, the portions served here were so huge you never finished. Now? Instead of higher prices, the portions are so much more in line with what a normal person wants, & (personally) I still have to take the (amazing) lentil soup home (for the next day's lunch *smile*)!

So smart!!

(& the salmon? It's the best!! ❣️)

Bright spacious patio in the rear, generous portions & very reasonably priced; parts of the lunch platters were very good e.g. both soups very tasty, nice prawns, spanokopita, meat skewers etc-- but the bread wasn't a highlight (not very fresh?) & our salads were soggy, so much so that no-one finished theirs. Wonderful server (friendly, efficient, capable) but she could have used some help--- seemed like she was all alone doing the whole restaurant, so it took awhile to get our meal (but again, not her fault, she did a great job considering).

L'assiette principale brochette souvlaki porc était bonne.

I brought a group of students from a CEGEP. They & I were impressed by the decor...a nice cozy terrass & the weather was magnificent.
We all had soup for starters. The second course was salad (the caesar came with a $2.00 surcharge). One of the salads had a long hair in it & the other had a worm!! The salads were passed around for all to see & verify. When I told the waiter, he said he would take $2.00 off their bill. The main dish & the dessert were all fine but we were all affected by the unexpected "things" in the salads. In front of everybody, the waiter said to me, did I do something wrong, you didn't leave me a tip. Unpon verification, in front of my students, he said "oh sorry sorry, I didn't read the bill correctly!! I am not happy with the experience at La Maison Grecque. I feel that the two clients should have been given a decent discount for their shock & discomfort they experienced.
I am giving you this in-house feedback instead of going public & hope that you will get back to me with a satisfactory reply so that I can continue to frequent your establishment as well as recommend it.

I am a fan of bring your own wine restaurants therefore I have been in this restaurant few times. I love their food. The size of food is great it comes with soup & salad. I usually take greek stake with home made potatoes which is great. However, the ambiance is quite dead, therefore if you are going with your friends & family to enjoy the food & wine it is perfect otherwise you will be bored.

On y retourne.
