Montreal's La Finca Café comes across as a busy, cozy brunch spot with consistently good coffee, a standout pastry selection, and crowd-pleasing breakfast and lunch options like shakshuka, frittata, bagel BLT, salmon sandwich, and croque madame, often accompanied by friendly, efficient service; it's busy and can be noisy, prices can feel steep for portions, and lines or wait times may occur, with occasional service hiccups and seating rules noted, while the vibe is charming, boho-casual, and family-friendly, and many visitors keep returning for the atmosphere and dependable quality.
I ordered a focaccia sandwich & a chemex coffee. The sandwich was ok, flavour was good but the focaccia was not crunchy & not with enough olive oil. The coffee was awesome, I recommend if you go, spend a bit more & buy the coffee in chemex .

I had a great time at La Finca while visiting for a local coffee festival. The staff were so lovely & gave amazing service - the barista, the servers, the person at register - everyone! The whole cafe had a very welcoming vibe & I wish I lived in Montreal so I could come more often. I ordered a matcha & a cortado & both were great with the perfect ratios of milk.
For anyone leaving a negative review due to what they might have seen recently on Instagram, I highly urge you to look at the incident from multiple perspectives. As someone that works in hospitality industry, I understand how hard it is to separate my personal life & work. Filming a barista & sharing it on the internet is a threat to their privacy. A worker is not a representation of an entire company & should be treated with respect.
My favorite coffee shop in the downtown area. Very local. 100% not a chain. Great place to spend an hour+ if your partner is not a morning person 😆
Coffee is excellent, but so is the food. I continue to be blown away by the food. The food appears simple on menu, but I'm always a pleasantly surprised by the execution. One person working the kitchen & they nail it every time.
Just FYI: laptops are not encouraged. Designated laptop seating is at a counter towards the back of the restaurant.
Great food, it was all fantastic, the foccaci bread was the best sandwhich I have eaten in years. Coffee was very good, service was really fast as well. I will go.back soon very reasonable prices. Nice pastry as well
Very nice cafe. Food was great. Ordered the bagel blt's, 2 chocolate croissants & 2 iced lattes, very friendly & efficient crew working over the counter.
If you like boho-artsy-scandinavian vibes, this is a café for you. If you don't mind quite high prices & an early closing hour, you will enjoy this aesthetic, cute (a bit crowded sometimes) space. There is also a shop with coffee & Montreal souvenirs, if you have extra money to spend. I ordered a cortado & sablé pastry - one of many interesting pastries they had to offer - & everything was delicious.
Nice spot, good service. The food is okay but on the pricier side for the portions you get. The coffee is pretty good. The water cups were pretty dirty though… overall a good spot to get a coffee & work/study but maybe bring your own water bottle.

Dans une ambiance chaleureuse, ce couple d'Alsaciens devenus Québecois de coeur depuis 5 ans ont ouvert un superbe café avec pas mal d'offre, tant au niveau des breuvages que des sucreries, très bien travaillées !
