The Kam Shing restaurant has served clients for over 20 years since 1997. Kam Shing Van Horne is quite close to the Van Horne exit of the Plamondon Metro station on the Orange line. On-street parking (meters) is plentiful as well as free parking nearby as well. The extensive menu was recently updated and added to (more than 200 items) of Cantonese and Szechuan items. The food is authentic Chinese and is rated by many among the very best in Montreal. The portions are very generous and many diners take home the remainders for next day. The food is reasonably priced, delicious and served very fresh and of the highest quality. The restaurant is described as serving such outstanding items such as Hot and Sour soup, General Tao Chicken, Salt and Pepper shrimp, Cantonese Chow Mein, Peanut butter dumplings Chicken and green peppers or broccoli with rice noodles in black bean sauce. There are many vegetarian dishes, some gluten-free dishes and MSG free if requested. The restaurant is fully licensed and offer a variety of beers including Chinese beers, Saké, wine and several other beverages.

Amazing food! Haven't been in years & food was delicious! Just as I remembered. The place was so busy, but the staff at the front for take out were polite & organized.
My favorite place in the area!! We love it. Our favorites are salt & pepper squid, general tao, orange beef, crispy noodles with vegetables & egg rolls. Lately we tried the lunch special, it is a huge platter & includes soup & a roll as well. Cheap, delicious & filling! Lunch special is only for weekdays. But no matter what time it is when it is, if you are looking for comfort food, you should try Kam Shing! The staff is very friendly & fun. We never had a bad experience so far given that we visit there very often. They even gave us some plants from the restaurant. If you are in the area, don't look for another place, try Kam Shing 😍 Thank you soo so much for everything!!
Came here for take out & had a great meal. Loved the noodles & chicken, peanut butter dumplings, wonton soup, spring rolls, beef & broccoli, general tao chicken & steamed rice.
Food was good, only issue was the service, the waiter would constantly be staring & coming up to the table. Then when it came to tipping the waiter had the audacity to say the tip amount was not good enough for him, & was glaring at me.
The food does not disappoint .. went for a pick up . The guy at the counter that's speaks fairly good English is a tad rude . Just a simple question & he gets sarcastic . Anyhow . Food is good , that's all I have to say .

Been coming here for over 25 years & it never disappoints . Quality & quantity is still the same. Definitely my favorite chinese restaurant of all time. Wonton soup, chicken fried rice, Cantonese style noodles & spare ribs are some of my favorite dishes 😋. I give it 9.5/10
really good food, could use a little extra sauce on the peanut butter dumplings. love that their still using all the same veggie ingredients in their stir fry & have not cheapened it. really good general tao
