Pour un aussi court séjour au Québec, jamais je n'aurais pensé tomber sur cette véritable petite perle dans la chaleureuse ville de Montréal avec ce restaurant. J'ai été vraiment surpris par la qualité des produits, l'excellente cuisine, une ambiance dont l'atmosphère générale m'a particulièrement charmé, & enfin le service chaleureux typique des gens du Québec, notamment avec la gérante Mathilde qui a toujours le sourire, pleine d'énergie & est à l'écoute des clients ca fais vraiment plaisir. Highly, highly & highly recommend this place to anybody visiting the city or if you live in Montreal & are looking for a new place. I quite literally only found out about it because I was taking photos of it outside, walked in view the menu but was told they wouldn't be serving anymore which actually was fine with me as I just ate else where. I was told by & sorry I'm horrible with names but she was Scottish, she said they weren't serving anymore. Came back the next day & loved the food. Really couldn't ask for a better Japanese restaurant in the literal heart of Montreal.View more

We took the 5-6 course meal that consisted of entrees & it was average quality. Some items were a little tastier, but some tasted like nothing. We had to keep asking for water, service was poor, & it's not like we had a ton of water, just a normal amount. Wouldn't go back.View more

Excellente nourriture, rien à redire, parfait. Service impeccable même si un peu lent (on était pas pressés), toutefois on nous a vendu l'idée d'un menu dégustation à 45$/personne pour économiser qui, si on cumule les plats & quantité, aurait du nous couter 31$/personne. & les quantités étaient insuffisantes, même pas en nombre suffissant pour goûter à tout (ex, 4 mini croquette de maïs ou bâtonnets de poulet frit pour 7, malaisant pour tous). Tous ont trouvé ça cher pour la quantité & avaient encore faim & on ne comprend encore pas le prix & pourquoi on nous a vendu ça comme une bonne idée & une économie. Ça peut être pratique en cuisine mais, il faut s'arranger pour qu'il y en ait assez. Votre concept & le prix fonctionne pas, on regrette de pas avoir pris des plats individuels.

Great experience at Hanzo. We came to celebrate a friend's birthday & took the tasting menu. They were very kind in customizing the menu to remove the food we could not eat. We were so happy with the variety & amount of food that was served! Everything was delicious, but I especially loved the fish cake with cheese & the salmon tartare bowl. I love this place, it's one of my top Japanese tapas place. I've been here probably a dozen of times, since I tried it. They have nice drinks, they make a killer bloody Ceasar. This time around when I went thru had changed the menu abit, they didn't have the beef ribs which were one of my faves. But they still have some yummy food. One of my favourite is the candied salmon which is so good, also the rice cake & the sliced beef & rice. This is definitely a must to try especially if you like sharing food. You get to try alot of things. This place is always packed so I suggest to have reservations if you plan on coming here. The workers are also nice & friendly, I will continue to come back here. This place is great for big groups but also for small groups.View more

Google's hours & their website's hours never seem up to date, they never answer the phone, they close early sometimes, & they are not open nearly enough throughout the week but I keep coming back! The food is spectacular, drinks are nice & original, & the service is excellent.View more
