I am not a fan of breakfast in general, but I will tell you this place is so just so good, everything is amazing & fresh. I definitely recommend it, also the staff if very nice & efficient, the restaurant is also pretty cute. The parking is extremely hard to find so maybe go there in public transport or bike or Uber. What a fun place! While strolling along Laurier East (not West near Park Ave & St. Laurent Blvd), we "stumbled" on La Grocerie having never heard of it before. Hungry we fortunately found a vacant table & were quickly seated in this multi-chambered establishment starting with a baked goods entrance, followed by two separate rooms with tables. Wide windows facing Laurier allow a lot of light even though the ceilings are low creating a very inviting atmosphere. On top of all that there are a large number of games that are available for the patrons to play (only on Thu, Fri & Sat in the evenings, apparently) which is a great feature. The menu is not extensive but offers an elevate version of typical breakfast/brunch options. For our meal we had the Avocado Toast & the Smoked Salmon & Goat Cheese Open Faced sandwich...both of which were delicious. We topped it off with a Chocolate Chip cookie...was very good but very sweet too. Service was very friendly & pleasant. I did take a bit of time to get the meal but the restaurant was packed & it was a slight understandable delay. We are definitely going to revisit for a games night (the dinner menu is very casual & more like snack/sharing dishes than anything else). Enjoy!Voir plus

Best casual brunch in Montréal by far. Whether you like savory or sweet, the food is delicious & well prepared. Any of the Eggs Benedict options are great (including a breakfast poutine) & you have to try the beignettes.Voir plus
