The food was amazing. We had the tomahawk special & it was quite filling. Our kids were also happy with their burger & chicken orders.View more
Food was good, not blow you away good just kinda what you'd expect from a steakhouse.View more
Amazing ambiance! We ordered fried calamari for starter, New York Strip & Short Ribs steak for main course. Fried calamari was delicious, & I loved the mouthwatering beef short ribs. New York strip was juicy & tasty but I found Short Ribs more tender & the seasoning was absolutely amazing! Our waiter was very friendly & nice. I liked the music too (although it was a bit loud) Highly recommend this place!View more
Tables are placed too close to eachother, removes any sense of privacy. We were surprised not to get fresh bread & butter while waiting for the food, almost all other restaurents of this caliber offer that. Steaks were great. Loved the ribeye! dessert was very disappointing, chocolate cake was small & dry, cheesecake was okay.View more
Atmosphere & Service off the charts. The staff was engaging, attractive, & fun. When asked for recommendations, they were genuine & direct, no fluff. The scene was great, lots of happy folks & great energy. Always enjoy an open kitchen & watching the servers & kitchen staff working together to move food along was cool. I was excited to see the soft ice cream machine at the end of the kitchen - always a sign that the chef has priorities straight! The onion soup was very good. The cheese was delicious & the broth great - I didn't love the choice of bread used - maybe Bagel chips - the chunks of beef in the soup were a tasty addition. The mashed potatoes with cheese - supposedly a favorite - were dry in my opinion & not to my liking - probably an off batch - fries were very good, nice & crispy. The ribeye was disappointing, but maybe because someone at my table wanted it cooked medium - it was dry - but I always order rare / medium rare so maybe it was OK? The cote de boeuf was very good. I loved chewing on the bone & the slightly salty horseradish rub/marinade was a great touch. Cooked perfectly. Well done! Asparagus were cooked perfectly - just the right crisp & well spiced. dessert was great, soft ice cream excellent. Overall, great experience if you are looking for a high energy spot with very good food & great people watching.View more
Visited from NY & decided to give this place a try during our trip, it was beyond expectation! Superb service & food 👌View more
I went to Grinder during Valentine's Day weekend & was quite pleased with my experience. The first thing to notice was the atmosphere that had an open bar in the center, booths to my right, & tables to my left, all under candlelight. Another thing was the music. It was quite loud for me, & I couldn't really hear my partner without having to lean in closer. I wonder if that was done on purpose. The service was amazing. Our server took care of us the entire night & even had the chefs apologize when our appetizer came late. I felt very taken care of, & I felt that they really cared about our experience. The food was phenomenal. We got so many things, including the french onion soup, the salmon tartare, the oysters, & the New York strip with the seasonal vegetables. Every dish was made with care & was absolutely delicious. The sauces that came with the steak brought so much more to the experience, I'm so thankful that they had that. Overall, I'd give it a 9/10, the only point off being how loud the music was. Otherwise, I'd love to go again sometime!View more
Salmon tartare & calamari was good, the filet minion wasnt a good cut & it was VERY mushy & soft; extra marination?View more
View more
If you want an amazing wagyu steak or Tomohawk steak then this is the place to eat. Food & service is top notch.View more
Service incroyable, bouffe excellente mais si vous désirez un endroit tranquille pour manger, l'endroit est à éviter. C'est un SuperClub plus qu'un restoView more
Le tartare de boeuf & les calamars étaient incroyables, ça en vaut le prix.View more

An awesome restaurant with excellent customer service ! We made last minute reservations & the staff was super welcoming & kind. We ordered French red wine which was incredible followed by fried calamari for appetizers. For the meal, I had the 1/2 chicken leg while my partner had Bavette de Boeuf & it was so tasty ! We savoured each bite :) The best part was definitely the dessert as we had the pudding chomeur & it's beyond perfection! Highly recommend the food & the restaurant! Located in the trendy Griffintown neighborhood it is a place to bring your friends & enjoy the hospitality of an incredible staff at Le Grinder :) A 11/10 culinary experience for us :)View more
This review is more directed towards large groups looking to dine here with their "set menu" First to start off...the food & staff were amazing. Nobody had anything bad to say about the meals & the timing everything was brought out. What i have a BIG problem with, was the price for the set menu. Our set menu price was $75.00 a head. That gave a choice of 1 appetizer, 1 main & a communal dessert for the table. After looking at the standard menu, on the HIGH end if someone ordered the most expensive options it was $60.00...on the low end $41.00....that is a MASSIVE difference. Also, the dessert was 1 slice of cake...a bowl of ice cream, a small lava cake & a bread style pudding to share between 5 people..so what they are saying is that the dessert option is on average $15-$20.00 a head This is an AWFUL deal & i wish i would have known about this before i would have never chosen to come here for a group dinner. SO if you are planning on using one of their set menus for a group dinner..just be advised you are getting price gouged for getting absolutely nothing extra. My recommendation is to find somewhere else for your group outing...but to come just for a regular dinner off their regular menu, i would recommend Grinder.View more
