Le décor original est signé Zébulon Perron (Furco, Buvette à Simone, Philémon). Il a crée un espace très confortable et chaleureux avec, une cuisine ainsi qu’un bar à cru. Le Grinder se caractérise par des éléments de style vintage, ainsi que des éléments plus modernes de verre et de métal.
Au menu, du cru et du cuit: tartares, tatakis, céviches, carpaccios, etc. Aussi des steaks et pièces de viandes grillées ou braisées, le tout selon une formule partage. Le Grinder offre aussi une variété de poissons et de produits de la mer également servis crus et cuits. Plus qu'un simple steakhouse, tous les gourmands trouveront leurs compte dans une vaste sélection de produits frais.
Une carte des vins 100% importation privée, toujours en constante évolution selon les saisons, et bien sur en privilégiant les vins produits dans le respect de la nature.

Tonight was my first time here & this is a homerun! My girlfriend is a meat lover & I'm more of a plant-based lifestyle, & we were both pleased ! The Vegan Meatballs is not only the best plant-based I've ever had in Montreal, but also top 3 meals in general ! Odd coming from a place that prides themselves in their Meat (& butchery beside it)! It is a must try! My GF enjoyed her beef skirt as well ! Service is impeccable & staff very friendly ! It's a semi pricey outing , but worth every dollar !Voir plus
C'est la deuxième fois que je viens car la viande y est excellente & que le pudding chômeur vaut tous les déplacements mais le service est à revoir. Notre serveuse était géniale, mais la personne qui nous servait l'eau & nous débarrassait était oppressante. Elle coupait régulièrement nos conversations ou les moments où on pouvait se tenir la main en discutant, ce qui n'est pas très délicat. Puis elle est allée jusqu'à récupérer nos serviettes sur nos genoux après avoir débarrassé nos plats !! Outre le côté un peu déplacé de la démarche, nous n'avions pas fini notre repas ... pour le reste le resto est très bruyant (sauf si vous avez la chance d'être installé proche d'une fenêtre) & sombre. Les cocktails ne sont pas très bons & goûtent seulement l'alcool. C'est une expérience mitigée, je reviendrai en sachant ce que je viens chercher : de la bonne viande & un sugar rush après ce divin pudding chômeur.Voir plus
Cuisine incroyable je recommande ! Nous y sommes allés un samedi soir c'était plutôt calme, le service était très bien. Nous avons adoré les entrées (crudo de thon & carpaccio de Wagyu), le thomahawk incroyable (j'ai moins aimé les haricots croquants & non equetés), largement suffisant pour 2 personnes, & le petit dessert offert pour l'anniversaire de mon conjoint. This place has an amazing vibe, friendly staff, & delicious food-I've been here many times & have never been disappointed. It's the perfect spot for a night out with friends, where you can dress up & enjoy the ambiance. They even offer a tasty vegan option, which was surprisingly delicious. & let's not forget about the drinks; they're fantastic too! The food portions are generous, & while the price range varies depending on your order, it typically falls between $25 to $100. Amazing ambiance! We ordered fried calamari for starter, New York Strip & Short Ribs steak for main course. Fried calamari was delicious, & I loved the mouthwatering beef short ribs. New York strip was juicy & tasty but I found Short Ribs more tender & the seasoning was absolutely amazing! Our waiter was very friendly & nice. Tables are placed too close to eachother, removes any sense of privacy. We were surprised not to get fresh bread & butter while waiting for the food, almost all other restaurents of this caliber offer that. Steaks were great. Atmosphere & Service off the charts. The staff was engaging, attractive, & fun. When asked for recommendations, they were genuine & direct, no fluff. The scene was great, lots of happy folks & great energy. Always enjoy an open kitchen & watching the servers & kitchen staff working together to move food along was cool. I was excited to see the soft ice cream machine at the end of the kitchen - always a sign that the chef has priorities straight! The onion soup was very good. The cheese was delicious & the broth great - I didn't love the choice of bread used - maybe Bagel chips - the chunks of beef in the soup were a tasty addition. The mashed potatoes with cheese - supposedly a favorite - were dry in my opinion & not to my liking - probably an off batch - fries were very good, nice & crispy. The ribeye was disappointing, but maybe because someone at my table wanted it cooked medium - it was dry - but I always order rare / medium rare so maybe it was OK? The cote de boeuf was very good. I loved chewing on the bone & the slightly salty horseradish rub/marinade was a great touch. Cooked perfectly. Well done! Asparagus were cooked perfectly - just the right crisp & well spiced. dessert was great, soft ice cream excellent. I went to Grinder during Valentine's Day weekend & was quite pleased with my experience. The first thing to notice was the atmosphere that had an open bar in the center, booths to my right, & tables to my left, all under candlelight. Another thing was the music. It was quite loud for me, & I couldn't really hear my partner without having to lean in closer. I wonder if that was done on purpose. The service was amazing. Our server took care of us the entire night & even had the chefs apologize when our appetizer came late. I felt very taken care of, & I felt that they really cared about our experience. The food was phenomenal. We got so many things, including the french onion soup, the salmon tartare, the oysters, & the New York strip with the seasonal vegetables. Every dish was made with care & was absolutely delicious. The sauces that came with the steak brought so much more to the experience, I'm so thankful that they had that. Overall, I'd give it a 9/10, the only point off being how loud the music was. Otherwise, I'd love to go again sometime!Voir plus

L'expérience dans son ensemble était bonne. Les plats que j'ai dégustés étaient délicieux pour la plupart. Les accompagnemts complimentaient bien le poisson/viande. Il faisait un peu sombre à l'endrout où mon groupe & moi étions assis. Cependant, ce n'etait pas très grave. Les serveurs étaient agréables, j'ai trouvé que le service à table s'est fait légèrement trop vite à mon goût. Je vous conseille vivement ce restaurant si vous êtes amateurs de poissons ou de fruit de mer, car ce sont ces plats qui étaient selon mon groupe & moi les mieux réussis.Voir plus
