The food was very good. We went with our out of town guests. They had terrible jet lag & was not able to finish the whole 3 course meal. However the service was very good & they packed our dessert so we could finish it the next morning.
Once again we had a Groupon voucher for 2 people (100$ for 46$) which entitles you for an entrée, a main dish & a dessert. We had reserved so we were instantly seated. The staff was courteous, smiling & friendly. The service time was adequate & we took the following:
Entrée:
Poutine with shredded chicken & green peas (Rating: 3.5/5)
Goat cheese croquettes with spicy honey, arugula (Rating: 5/5)
Main Dish:
BBQ baby back ribs with coleslaw & crispy onions (Rating: 3.5/5)
Wild mushroom Cavatelli (Rating: 3/5)
Dessert:
Half-baked chocolate chip cookie dough with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (Rating: 4/5)
Cannoli with Ricotta & Nutella (Rating: 1/5)
Overall: Food was good not great nor average & the service was excellent.

This was my third time going to the Greasy Spoon since it opened & I think I finally have to call it quits. I first went to the restaurant when it opened, & then once about two months ago, & then again in December. The first time I went to the restaurant it was awesome, & the last two times I've been severely unimpressed with the food.
The first time, I ordered the nachos which appeared to have been torched with a flamethrower because they were incredibly burnt, to the point where I was surprised that the chef even allowed the dish to leave the kitchen. I sent the dish back, & ordered a beef tartare, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
The second time, I ordered the Artic Char, which also came out burnt, & incredibly dry, sitting on top of a cold cous cous dish which I assume should have been warm? - that same night, when I walked by the kitchen, the tallest cook(maybe the chef) was whipping another cook with a rag, calling him a "faggot" & "a piece of shit" which I find very, very unprofessional & disrespectful. I figured I would give the restaurant another try, because we really enjoy the service, as the waiters/waitresses have all treated us very well, but because of what I saw in the kitchen, I don't think I'll ever return.
