Fu Chun Soupe Dumplings is widely praised for juicy, flavorful soup dumplings and authentic Shanghai noodles, with generous portions and very reasonable prices contributing to an overall impression of good value; the service is described as warm and attentive in a cozy, welcoming space, making it a beloved if occasionally busy spot. A few reviews note hiccups like slow service during peak times, attempts to push tipping, or occasional inconsistencies such as overly salty pork, bland vegetarian dumplings, or dumplings that break or lack broth, but these are few compared with the many glowing mentions of quality and homemade feeling. Overall, the restaurant is viewed as a true find in Montreal, a go-to for dumplings and noodles with frequent praise for the crab and pork or sweet pork xiao long bao, spicy noodles, and peanut sauce noodles.
Food is delicious. Dumplings, Wontons, noodles… everything we tried was great. Our waitress was so kind & friendly. We had a great time. The ambience is quiet & enjoyable :)
The place is quite small could probably adapt 20 persons. So if you come at the rush hour, be ready to wait for the seats. Make sure you get the shrimp soup dumpling, it was really good & the scallion oil noodle as well

Order on Uber eat & was very surprised the food is very good & the prices are not too high! The noodle, & dumplings were very fresh! I will definitely go in person & re order from there!
Passed by today for a late lunch. I tried the pork wonton soup & the Shanghai style soy sauce noodle. Both were incredible. Definitely coming back to try other things.
Fuchun's menu is a delightful blend of traditional & contemporary dishes, with dumplings being the star of the show. The Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) are filled with rich broth. Each bite bursts with a blend of flavors. The menu is diverse, offering a range of options from noodles, wontons to crispy spring rolls. Whether you're a fan of dim sum or looking for a hearty meal, Fuchun is the place to be! 🥟🍜
Not sure how to eat xiaolongbao properly😅 we ordered different kinds (beef onion veggies mushrooms) fried & steamed, also wonton soup, & chicken noodles, all yummm!
Delicious food! We got the beef & onion, Sweet pork, & pork shrimp dumplings. We loved the beef onion dumplings the best & loved the spicy peanut noodles as well. The steamed chicken in spicy oil was such a delight. I would come back here.
It's a little gem just beside the road, they offer Shanghai food, the sesame sauce noodles is tasty, & if you are vegetarian, they also do vegetarian xiao long bao (small Chinese steam buns) which I don't see in other restaurant. The price is reasonable. Good restaurant to chill with friends or family. There's no parking lot, but easy to go with public transportation with your feet ^^
They have super cheap noodles! Amazing cucumber salad! Delicious dumpling. I definitely recommend ordering things other than dumplings... like, yes, it's a dumpling place but it really shines through its simple yet diversified menu

I finally tried Fu chun Montreal for the first time. First things first: those who did mention that the taste, here, is more authentic Asian that Americanized Chinese (by Montreal Chinese restaurant standards) were right, & that is, of course, a great thing. That Fu chun was great at doing dumplings was not a surprise (indeed, they have some of the finest dumplings in Montreal, right now) as that is what they are known for, obviously, but what surprised me is that their non-dumpling food items are really well made for a Chinese restaurant in Montreal (for eg, Shanghai Style Soy Sauce Noodle, the Spring rolls , the Steamed chicken in Szechuan chili sauce, etc... were all better than what most of their competitors are pulling off, in Montreal, right now). Easily one of the better Chinese restaurants in Montreal (not just one of the best dumplings in town). & the service is good, too. The food is actually affordable (relatively to what you get & pay for in Montreal, these days). I am happily adding Fu chun to my go-to restaurants in Montreal. As long as Fu chun keeps their good standards, I'll keep going back with the same beautiful smile of happiness that was on my face when I finished this meal. Long live Fu chun!
Very cute homey restaurant with Shanghainese cuisine. Soup dumplings: we took the classic pork & the pork/shrimp. They were both very good. The only sauce that was provided was a type of vinegar with ginger & soy sauce on the table. Maybe it's the traditional Shanghai dipping sauce. It would have been nice to have chili or something, maybe I should've asked. Spicy steamed chicken with chili sauce: the best dish that I've tried there. The chicken was juicy & was drowned in a tahini oily sauce. It was delicous, but I would've appreciated it more if it was more spicy. Spicy cucumber: basically cucumber pieces with tahibi & maybe soy sauce? There were chili flakes visible but it was not spicy at all. It was good, but I expected more for spiciness. Shanghai style noodles: looked delicous, it was perfectly cooked noodles that tasted like nothing. It is soy sauce based & we chose to not add the tahini sauce. It was extremely bland. We had to add more soy sauce. Spicy fried pork noodles: the pork did not look like the one on the picture, it was definitely not spicy & although it looked fancier than the shanghai noodles, it tasted exactly the same, which is absolutely nothing. The noodle dishes were very disappointing. The spice level here is zero because all the spicy dish did not taste spicy at all. The only thing worth it here are the dumplings, very good & for a good price as well. The sauce provided grew on us after we added soy sauce
Wonderful experience at Fu Chon! We loved the dumplings (steamed & fried), the flavour of their wonton soup & the sautéed noodles. All excellent! Tables filled up quickly & decor is trendy.
Totally delicious noodles & dumplings. Very authentic taste: loved the little crumbled Orion's on top of my veggie noodles! Excellent & sans prétention, goût vraiment « fait maison ». A refaire!
