Stupendous cocktails to start! The food was delicious as well. We shared a dozen oysters, white asparagus, magret with foie gras & the spaghetti. The oysters were perfectly shucked, sweet & briny. A bit of grated horseradish would have been a nice addition to the mignonette & hot sauce options. The white asparagus with clarified butter, capers & toasted croutons was absolutely delicious. However, the stalks were a bit thin & because of that, more of the tougher end was included making it a bit hard to cut & stringy...otherwise food would be solidly 5 star. The duck was delicious, nicely medium rare & the foie gras was melt in your mouth. The demi was delicious & went well with the potatoes. The truffled pasta was simple but not over powered with truffle oil & reminiscent of stringozzi con tartufo from our recent trip to Umbria. A vegetable side dish other than salad would be nice to add (beans, broccoli?)View more

L'ambiance est superbe, le prix est dérisoire, les cocktails sont incroyables mais la cuisine semble avoir la prétention d'être haute, malgré quelques vilains défauts. Outre l'assiette de spaghetti servie avec une cuillère ; pire : une cuillère servie *dans* l'assiette - le gâteau en dessert était lui aussi servi avec une cuillère, on repassera pour les coutumes de restauration 🤷 -, les deux plats principaux étaient drôlement salés (toutefois très bons). Peut-être pas très esthétiques car (ignorons la cuillère) les deux plats sont saupoudrés de fromage. Un tartare de boeuf plus italien que classique américain, mais avec un oeuf & de la sauce. Les ingrédients semblent de bonne qualité, l'entrée (velouté de champignons) absolument délicieuse. & une mayonnaise promise pour les frites qui n'a jamais été servie. 🙃🙂View more

We came here on a cold Sunday morning to enjoy a hearty brunch, & we were properly satisfied. We made sure we arrived before 10 am, as there are no bookings on the weekends. That paid off as we got one of the most comfy tables. It is a tight place specially with the jackets, so it pays off to arrive early & being able to choose a more spacious one. This tightness adds to the atmosphere in a way but I guess it can be annoying for some. The food was absolutely delicious we had the croissant truffle Benedict as well as the blueberry pancakes with their delicious maple cream, accompanied by some freshly made cocktails. The cocktails were very fairly priced & my Bloody Caesar was on point. The food was full of flavor & satisfied all of our cravings, the pancakes with that texture & the maple cream are definitely a must in this place. Service was always proactive & very kind, couldn't catch her name but she was extremely friendly & always smiling.View more

I've been to Foiegwa before for a lovely brunch & so had high expectations - was disappointed tonight. The server first tried to put us at a tiny wee table mid aisle with awkward wooden chairs - too small for me & my son is 6ft tall - when it was almost empty. I asked to sit by the window along the padded bench which was completely open with 6 sets of free tables, & she said yes - odd that she sat us at the worst table. Still, friendly & brisk staff (8/10). I actually liked that one of the servers spoke exclusively French even though I was replying in English. Went for'MTL a table' which is great to try out menu sets - it helps me decide restos to visit for the rest of the year. My shrimp cocktail was 5 defrosted shrimp, served with minced greens/onions on top of Ketchup, ick - I'd expected a cocktail or rosemarie sauce (2/10). My teen's mushroom soup was delicious, nicely plated & the best thing we tried (8/10). The scallop risotto was creamy but only three scallops (about the size of a quarter) (6/10). I had the tiny half cornish hen topped with green beans, swimming in broth, but it was very dry (4/10). Had to ask for a spoon for the broth. My chocolate mousse was grainy, served in a wee ramekin with a thick hard almond cookie'lid' that was def not a'tuile' (2/10). The lovely server exchanged it for the panna cotta, topped with sweetened berries (thawed, not fresh) & a crunchy granola (7/10). As other reviewers have pointed out, portion sizes are small, & my teen left hungry. Based on this meal I would not go back for dinner, though I think it'd be fine for a glass of wine as I like the atmosphere & staff is attentive.View more

We ordered one of their most famous dishes which is the truffle cream pasta. The dish was flavorful & well-prepared, but the portion size was rather small, especially given the higher price point. On the bright side, the service was pleasant & attentive. Additionally, their cocktails were a highlight-there were plenty of options, & the ones we tried were excellent. ( Europe trip) Overall, it's a good spot for a flavorful meal & great drinks, though a bit on the expensive side for the portions served.View more

Great vibes, great food, great service. We went for a bit of a celebratory dinner & definitely was not cheap but worth the cost. Shrimp cocktail was good. The Cesar salad was perfectly dressed. A Canadian staple of Montreal & a pretty solid one. Did the 3 course meal for $49 CAD. Wish the portions were a little bit larger, but for the quality of food it was pretty solid. The Caesar salad with the shredded cheese was excellent, the spaghetti with truffle a perfect addition & to close it with chocolate mousse with the granola was memorable by far. Ask for their cocktail of the month if they don't mention it. Pretty good way to start the meal. Place is essential if you come to Montreal & are a food enthusiast like myself.View more

Would go back for the drinks alone. Boy am glad the bar tender from the Atwater Cocktail club was tending at Foiegwa that night! Sipped on the Golden Wind. Lots of ingredients in there but you taste ALL of them TOGETHER. Lots going on in there, enough for your taste buds to lose their minds! The gold is a nice touch but messy. The Cinco de Mayo was good too. Fun drink but would gladly just order a second Gold Wind. Food is also nice. Torchon is only ok (might actually only have oysters next time...or tartare as app) but the scallop risotto nailed it. First, risotto is cooked perfectly, titering between barely uncooked & cooked. The scallops were too few but perfectly cooked. Tender buttery & seared enough on the outside. Flavours were subtle yet bold & satisfying. Bravo. The tartare was good. Flavour is on point but I wish they had a cut that makes it more tender. It was a tiny bit too chewy. Would still order it again though. The dessert was good but forgettable. So I actually forgot what it was.View more

Adresse très surfaite. Nous avons attendu 25 minutes car file d'attente, jusque-là tout va bien. Revenus 25 min plus tard (car nous ne sommes pas restés dans le froid dehors), on nous dit qu'on nous avait appelé, mais que nous ne nous sommes pas pointés. Je demande si on peut être replacé, le type de l'accueil est hésitant & va demander. Il n'est tout bonnement jamais revenu me voir dehors pour me tenir informée. Résultat, nous avons du attendre 1 heure au total afin d'être placés en salle. Le service était trop long & la personne en charge de faire un cocktail s'est pointée vers la fin du repas pour nous l'apportez. Pareil pour l'addition, il a fallu se lever, mettre nos vestes pour avoir qqn qui prenne enfin l'encaissement. La nourriture était bonne, mais loin d'être exceptionnelle. C'était très basique pour un prix aussi onéreux. 85$ pour deux brunch & un cocktail. Il y a bien mieux comme adresse sur Montréal.View more

No reservation brunch, staff was nice Good coffee, I didn't t like the bloody Caesar (too strong & lacking celery salt but appreciated the option to choose the alcohol paired with the cocktail) I ordered the truffle pasta, it was delicious & not overpowered but a bigger portion would have been appreciated. The croque mamie was good & generous, really enjoy the breakfast potatoes too. The butter croissant tasted a bit stale, like it was made from croissant the day before.. the jam & peanut butter made it sweeter & ok to eatView more
