Reviews describe Chimaek Gana as a go-to spot for Korean fried chicken in Montreal, offering crispy, flavorful chicken in a variety of styles such as Yangnyeom and Supreme, with generous portions that pair well with sides, pickled radish, and a cold beer. The service is frequently praised for being friendly, fast, and attentive, and the atmosphere is noted as lively and welcoming, with convenient touches like gloves for eating and clean, comfortable seating. While some readers mention menu updates and price changes, the overall consensus remains that the food is delicious and consistently satisfying, making it a popular choice for groups and special occasions.
The portions are huge & the vibe is def there, super busy on a Friday night too. So many choices of delicious sounding friend chicken options. The chicken is juicy & cooked to perfection but the flavour was just not there. The honey butter tasted mostly like garlic & some weren’t even coated in flavour so I was just plain fried chicken. The Cajun cheese flavour was good too but I just wish it was coated with more of it. Service was great & the refillable pickled radish side dish was a great pair with the chicken.

The music was extremely loud, I understand that people were having fun upstairs, but it made communication at our table very difficult. Apart from that, the overall experience was pleasing, the food was amazing.
Nice dark ambience, chicken was fried perfectly. The sauces could use work but that's personal preference. The spiciest options were not all that spicy.
Awesome korean fried chicken spot. The portions are huge & the price is decent for what we get. The chicken itself is moist & the batter is crispy, the sauces are amazing. The tteokbokki is also great & the servers are friendly. There is a good amount of space & two stories so there are usually enough places also.

Quantity & quality ratio is there. We ordered 3 meals & 4 shots & we were 5 so each one of us paid $17 + tx + tips. It was delicious. I recommend the chicken with cheese. The original was sweet so I don't know I'm more into salty. Next time, I'll be back to taste other flavours.
The atmosphere is dark & I can't see well in the dark but I love the decorations.
I went here multiple times because the fried chicken is really delicious & affordable , the service is quite good. But I hope they can maintain or improve the quality & the quantity of foods. I feel both of these standards are going down by each time I come again
Food is flavorful, more than just spicy & sweet. Tons of fried chicken choices. Conch salad was refreshing & a nice break from the fried food. Perfect for group sharing
This is easily a top tier restaurant in all aspects. Service is impeccable. The food is very good (angel onion chicken!!). Very good hangout place. The atmosphere is great & clean.

The place is really good & the food is stunning, amazing. The only con is if you have any restrictions: they don't have a vegetarian menu & won't be able to make any vegetarian plate since every is cooked with meat, so you will be stuck with the entrances (which is absolutely good!). The chicken is amazing, specially the Baby Powder. All people there receive you with a smile in the face. We arrived without reserve & we, a group of 7, needed to wait 35min, but it really worth it!!!
We got the Bul Galbi fried chicken drumsticks, & it was delicious! Some of the best Korean fried chicken I've had, hands down. The chicken was crispy on the outside & very juicy on the inside. Would absolutely recommend!
We ordered seafood soup, & specifically told the waiter for minimal spicyness. But when we got our order, there was a thick layer of red chili oil floating on top of the soup & obviously not ''minimal spicyness''. The waiter was sorry for what we received, but he said he cannot return it, he mentioned that he already wrote note to the kitchen, but maybe they forgot. In the end, he brought us more broth to dilute the soup.
The fried chicken was good, also you can refill the pickled daikon & pickled onion for free.
