Come visit us in Montreal
Located in the Rosemont, Ville-Marie, and Hochelaga neighborhoods, our cafés are the ideal place for a gourmet break, a get-together with friends, or a remote work session. Canard Café is much more than a café—it's a community.
Reviews paint Canard Café as a welcoming neighborhood spot with a warm vibe where great coffee and tasty food pair with a calm atmosphere that is nice for working or relaxing. The coffee receives frequent praise for flavor and a variety of non dairy options, and the drinks are widely enjoyed. Food is often highlighted for quality and creativity, including breakfast sandwiches, canard confit, muffins, and other treats, with portions that satisfy many and prices that some feel are a touch high for the amount. The space is repeatedly described as cozy and charming, with a mix of decor that adds character and a dog friendly ethos, including a wall of dog photos and occasional treats for canine visitors. Service is consistently praised for courtesy and efficiency, with staff quick to fix small order hiccups and to offer friendly recommendations. Overall, Canard Café comes across as a dependable go to for coffee, light bites, and a welcoming feel in the neighborhood.

Very friendly staff, the barista gave a great recommendation on pastries. I didn't see the outlets hanging from the ceiling until I was leaving the cafe. But they are there!

I stumbled upon this charming café & was blown away by their canard confit sandwich. The moment I took my first bite, I knew I had found something special. The duck confit was perfectly cooked-tender, juicy, & bursting with rich, savory flavors. The balance between the crispiness of the baguette & the melt-in-your-mouth duck was simply divine. The sandwich was complemented by a subtle hint of herbs, all layered with just the right amount of fresh greens. Each ingredient was thoughtfully chosen & worked in perfect harmony to create an unforgettable taste experience. Not only was the food exceptional, but the ambiance of the café made the experience even better. Cozy, warm, & welcoming, it's the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely lunch or a quick bite with friends. The staff were friendly & attentive, ensuring that my visit was nothing short of perfect. If you're a fan of duck or simply love a well-crafted sandwich, this café's canard confit offering is a must-try. I'll definitely be coming back for more!
Quel endroit fabuleux!

This place opened up across the street from my building a couple of years ago. I've frequented a lot of Italian cafés in my life. But I must say that the coffee they serve in this place is exceptionally great! Each time I stop, my latte always tastes the same. Their croissants & chocolatines are always fresh. Try their ham sandwich if you're ever here. My compliments to the owner for providing a great atmosphere, great staff & excellent coffee & food. Auguri!

I enjoy the cozy atmosphere - it's an excellent place for writing, study, or meetings! Their food is always served with beautiful presentations & are all very delicious 🤤 I love that they customized my order le Tourn' Ouf Jambon (it was so delicious) Other items I enjoyed are: Raspberry Yogart Muffins, lemon cranberry squares, café latte, cafe mocha, chai latte
We wanted to discover a new café & found this place on the east side of downtown Montreal. Actually, not even sure if it's considered downtown at this point. The interior vibe is quite nice . For the order, there's a big menu billboard on the wall which you can choose from. The processes order your food at the cash find yourself a table & they bring you your food when it's ready. It's not necessarily super well explained so the first time you visit visit, it may feel a bit disorienting. We weren't sure what to choose from the menu, so we decided to go with sandwiches, one of which was recommended by the cashier . We found ourselves a table & we served our coffee relatively quickly . Then we received one of the two sandwiches we ordered & had time to finish the sand before the other one arrived. Not ideal when you're going to a brunch restaurant to eat together & have to watch the other person eating. we shared the first sandwich & exchanged bites on the second one as well. Perhaps there is a disconnect & communication between the cashier & the kitchen . It didn't seem to be a problem the fact that the food came out with such a time delay. Street parking is available & it is paid . If you're lucky you'll find parking right in front of the café.
