Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant. Il y a de bien meilleure sandwicheries dans les alentours.
This is a true cafe which only offers half-service but the food is delicious. The service at the counter was very courteous as were the servers who brought the food to the table. My son & I both had the honey-glazed salmon with sticky rice & we shared an avocado & citrus salad. The main salmon plate was meagre but very tasty & the salad was FANTASTIC. I plan to return to this cafe to try their other salads. Two (2) main dishes, a shared salad & two smoothies cost ca. $52.00.
Excellent café au lait! Nourriture un peu chère, mais les salades & sandwiches sont diversifiés & bien préparés. Très achalandé & bruyant à l'heure du dîner. Beau décor, service aimable.
Je fréquente occasionnellement ce resto depuis près de 2 ans & j'ai toujours bien apprécié. Par contre, récemment, les portions semblent être devenues beaucoup plus petites.
J'y suis allée la semaine dernière avec une amie. Il y avait tellement peu de fromage dans sa salade de betterave & fromage de chèvre que ça prenait une loupe pour trouver les morceaux, & la salade elle-même était pratiquement une entrée.
Dans la salade Waldorf que j'ai commandé, j'ai compté trois minuscules morceaux de poulet!
Si vous avez très faim, c'est plutôt frustrant...
I've discovered this cool cafe last summer, when they just opened, & i've been hooked ever since. Regardless of the fact that their food has been great since the beginning: truly healthy, original & beautifully presented, they keep improving by changing their menu & adding more delicious choices. My favorites & ricotta crepes, kiwi smoothie & the smoked salmon salad! Oh, & of course the cheesecake... which doesn't really taste like your regular cheesecake, but is really good, & light. The staff is very friendly, the decor is stunning & I hear the coffee is amazing (I'm not a coffee drinker). This place seems pretty popular, it gets so full for lunch time, sometimes it's hard to find a place to sit. One of my favorite places in Montreal for lunch or breakfast.
J'etais recommender par une amie d'essayer ce cafe. Quand je me suis rentrer, j'etais impressioner par le decor & la proprete. J'ai commencer par une soupe de poulet. Je veux juste vous dire que c'etait delicieuse & comparble a une cuisine rafine. Ca ma encourager d'essayer son pannini (yummmmm!) La presentation, la premier gorge, l'ambience, le service, etc....tout etait magnifique!!!
En fin, le capuccino! Le proprietaire etais un connaiseur du cafe. Il etait tres sympathic & passioner par son cafe.
Je recommende ce cafe pour tout le monde & vous n'aller pas regretter.
The first time I tried cafe veritas I was blown away by how delicious the chicken mustard pannini was. I've been a regular since then & btw love their coffee.
It's about time we had a place we can go to where we don't see the oil & butter remnants on our plates. I feel sooo good & full after a meal over there.
I don't know if employees of this cafe were asked to submit these reviews, but my own experience of this rather pretty & bright little place were not at all as the above reviews claim. To begin, the food was far from what was expected, dry, tasteless. The coffe tasted OK, yet didn't compare at all to the famous Cafe Art Java (if memory serves) on Mont Royal. The owner of the place (I believe) seemed to do nothing but stare at our table & the table next to us most of the time with a look of arrogance I've never seen displayed on anyone. Though the service was cheerful (we seemed to have an experienced staff member bring us our items), I took notice of the other staff members who appeared confused & lost. Perhaps it was their first day?
I wouldn't recommend Cafe Veritas to anyone. A few of us gave it a second chance but it was money wasted, time wasted.

Though the coffee was 'good', it certainly wasn't any better than most of the other local cafes. The food needs a lot of work however, as does the service.
It is the first time that I find a place that serves healthy food that is actually good! The menu is very original & delicious. I have eaten there about 3-4 times now, & I always leave feeling satisfied & good. The décor & ambiance is very relaxing. The smoothies & coffee are irresistible…If I lived near Veritas, I would treat myself daily to the smoothies & great coffee on my way to work!!

Plus the sandwiches are delectable & so is everything else on the tiny menu
The place looks very good
Doesn't look much different from the average fast casual type dining establishment from the outside. But the food is great: honest & healthy, served on REAL plates. After discovering this place on a recent visit to Montreal, we went back twice more (three times in three days). The breakfast is outstanding, sandwiched are good & served with a yummy chickpea salad. & the COFFEE is heaven. Latte art, sure, but best of all it is delicious. Friendly staff. A best bet!
The BEST coffee in Montreal prepared by one of the best baristas in the city there is an ART to coffee & you will find is at it`s best here.
The food is simple & very healthy & service with a smile.
Everyone at the office is addicted to this place.

Yay: The Barista at this Cafe placed 3rd in the Canadian National Barista competition. This can now officlally be the best coffee in the city!
