Review Summary

Cafe Hyderabad offers an authentic and affordable dining experience, frequently praised for its delicious South Indian snacks, diverse tiffin varieties, and flavorful biryani. Many visitors highlight the generous portions and high quality of dishes like mutton marag, chicken curry, and various puffs, often noting that the food provides a nostalgic taste of home. While the majority of guests appreciate the friendly service and clean environment, some experiences are marred by inconsistent food quality, occasional preparation issues, and varying levels of staff attentiveness. Despite these mixed remarks, the venue remains a popular choice for those seeking budget-friendly, traditional meals in Montreal.

Cafe Hyderabad is such a treat in Montreal! Loved the veg puff & egg puff, the idly was super soft, & the uthapam was just right. The real winner though is the veg biryani - hands down the best I've had here. So many tasty options to try, definitely worth coming back for more

Anyone craving South Indian food should definitely try this venue 🎉🎉 We had a plate of idli, plain dosa, & masala dosa with great chutney & sambhar ❤?❤? A really affordable venue & the perfect venue to try all the items on the menu 🎉🎉 Cannot wait to try all the Biyanis next time !

The food overall was okay, but the naan was completely burnt & not edible. It was quite disappointing, especially since naan is such an important part of the meal. I hope the restaurant can improve on this next time.

Biryani here is byfar the most authentic hyderabad Biryani in Montreal. But, there is a problem with the food. Consistancy in the quality. People once had any item from the menu will return for it expecting the same experience. But I several times disappointed either chicken smells stinky(I saw this couple of time from doordash order) or undercooked chicken. I will think twice to order from here but if am lucky on that day biriyani is awesome.

After a long time I had a proper Hyderabadi biryani, it is not only good in taste, it is cheap too compared to most of the restaurants in Montreal. If you are nearby, you must try their biryani at least once.

The food quality of this place has gone down a lot over years. They used to be reasonably good, now it is downright terrible. We used to get biryanis from here since 2020. I think they had a different name then, cannot remember. The price was 12.99. Now it is 10.99. In 5 years, both price & quality has gone down. I am sure 10.99 attracts a lot of customers, but they regret the food afterwards anyway. Will avoid in future.
