View more
Cafe Cantina is a true gem! The ambiance is warm, the food is delicious, & the service is exceptional. I visited on Valentine's Day & enjoyed the scrumptious enchiladas, delightful margaritas, & the vibrant atmosphere with beautiful murals. It was a fantastic experience!

Restaurant Wow ! Cool à souhait, très bon, frais & généreux. Les plats sont frais, copieux, goûteux avec une ambiance low key. La margarita est à 6$ de 5 à 7 & elle est divine... what's else ?View more
Food was delicious & fresh! Got the enchiladas mix vege & quesadillas mix vege. Ambiance was perfect, very cute spot, the music wasn't too loud as well which is hard to find. Service was fast & nice too. They are also having an event on Feb 14th dancing & live music. Lots of vegetarian options too.View more
Love this place! Always fresh & delicious, generous portions, affordable prices. I'm surprised it's not more popular, what a gem 💎 I tried almost everything from the menu, you can't go wrong here.. my favourite is lamb burrito, really to die for! 🤤 on the photo a yummy vegetarian option: sweet potato tacos with salads 🌮View more
Très frais & délicieux, mais un peu cher. Les prix, pour moi, étaient déjà un peu élevés avant l'inflation actuelle.View more
Nice! Got their own take on things but in general in a good way (pretty spicy carnitas for example). The chicken taco was something of a watery, tasteless, disappointment but all other things was niceView more
If you eat there, the wait can be a little long, during lunch time.
I've ordered take out for 2 during supper time & was out in 8 minutes.
I've only had the veggie burrito everytime I went, & I really enjoy it. My husband takes the chicken or beef one & likes it as well. We go every 3 months or so.
I'd say, it's a hit or miss on the nachos really, depending if you get the bottom of the baril, or a fresh new batch.
Some can say the rice is a little dry, well it kind of is a bit, but it tastes good in my burrito. Expect to pay about $14 per person tops for your meal if you are not taking any entree or drink.
After reading the reviews thought this restaurant would be authentic. Had the chicken quesadilla to go, worse mistake ever, the chiken was almost non-existant in the quesadilla. The rice tasted terrible it was dry & clumpy, the beans were dry & tasteless. I would love to tell you about the salad but there wasn't any despite it being advertised that it comes with the meal. Over all worse mexican experience ever & will not return.
We went there today for lunch, we were a group of 5. The restaurant was busy, but not fully packed. We got our food 40 minutes later & our order was basic, a salad, 2 burritos & 2 quesadillas. We also requested a salad to go, but asked to be made at the same time as the other plates, because from experience, the food takes quite a bit of time to be prepared. Today however, was my worst experience so far. Furthermore, the waitress was unprofessional, took our drinks order, 4/5, forgot one person, brought us a hot sauce bottle than she later took away & when we asked her for that back, said they ran out. We had to ask an adjacent table for the hot sauce. Also, they ran out of several drink options, such as regular coke. Seeing that the food was taking long, we asked for 'to go' plates. We had to ask 3 times. Also, when we went to pay, the to go salad was not ready, it took another 10 minutes. The staff did not offer us any compensation & their apologies were basic such as, sorry we ran out of coke, sorry we ran out of sauce, your order is coming now (X3), when it was not even prepared, etc. They are busy because they are close to a huge office building, if that would not be the case, they would probably be out of business by now, the food is ok, sans plus, the service is terrible & the waiting time ridiculous!
I personally love this little small restaurant which serves delicious food! Here is why: 1) the owner is a trained chef; 2) the food (central American inspiration) is real, colorful, made from scratch with local & biological ingredients - delicious & healthy. Their coffee is fair trade. They have home-made nachos with home-made salsa & home-made guacamole - YUMMY!!! The staff is attentive & very kind. On the downside, their opening hours are more restricted to business hours & if you don't live nearby, you need to take the 107 or make it to Charlevoix Metro. Overall, I highly recommend.
