The service & atmosphere was okay. Theres not a lot of seats available. I really wanted to try their crème brûlée matcha because I love crème brûlée but this was just a thicker consistency of matcha & tasted nothing like crème brûlée. Would not recommend.

I ordered a hojicha latte with maple syrup & cinnamon. Unfortunately, I could not detect the flavor of the maple syrup or the cinnamon; it tasted essentially like a standard hojicha latte.
It cost $7.5.
?The cafe was busy with many patrons using laptops. When we arrived at 1:30 PM on a weekday, there were no seats open initially. A table became available after a short wait.
Bonjour, on a prit un matcha au jasmin & un café au tiramisu & c'était super bon , c'est parmi les meilleures que qu'on goûté en ville , l'espace etait très chaleureux & lumineux & ça vaut la peine de se déplacer au moin 1 fois & l'essayer. Merci à toute l'équipe
J'adore ce nouveau café dans le quartier! Café Second Gen est rapidement devenu, selon moi, le meilleur coffee shop du Vieux-Port. Leurs cafés sont uniques & créatifs, comme leur incroyable café à l'ube & le latte pomme-miso , deux boissons presque impossibles à trouver ailleurs, & encore moins aussi parfaitement réalisées. Chaque visite est un petit plaisir, & l'ambiance est toujours chaleureuse. Sans oublier la propriétaire, qui est tout simplement la plus adorable de toutes. Une vraie perle! / I'm absolutely in love with this new spot in the neighborhood. Café Second Gen is easily the best coffee shop in the Old Port. Their drinks are unique & inventive, especially their ube coffee & the apple-miso latte - flavors you'll rarely find anywhere else, & certainly not made this well. Every visit feels special, & the vibe is always warm & welcoming. & the owner? Truly the sweetest of them all. A real gem.

J'ai beaucoup aimé leur bol de chia, mais je dois avouer que j'ai moins apprécié le latté à la pomme miso. Ça n'était pas mauvais, juste mon dans mes cordes. Au total c'est revenu à 18,11$.
Le service à la clientèle fut très agréable & rapide, la jeune femme à la caisse m'a apporté mes items à ma place pendant que j'enlèvais mon manteau.
Une bonne musique de fond & une ambiance relaxe au sein du café.
Je recommande l'endroit !
Un des meilleurs matcha au ube que j'ai pu tester jusqu'à maintenant. Le goût était très riche & le service était super rapide. L'endroit était très lumineux & relativement calme.
Seul bémol pour le prix : 17$ pour deux matchas (taille unique, pas de choix + grand ou + petit).
I love this place. The employees are very attentive & super kind. Their coffee flavors are original & always hit the spot. Very chill & laid-back atmosphere.

The drinks are absolutely delicious! The croissant was really good too. Very kid friendly. The staff were so kind! My toddler was with me & took the ladyfinger off my tiramisu drink so they offered me another one! Which was incredibly sweet..
Finally had the opportunity to try this new café in downtown, & it did not disappoint. The interior is industrial-inspired, with a few seats & charging spots available. We ordered the classic Vietnamese iced coffee & the hot Matcha 2nd Gen (matcha latte with condensed milk). Both were excellent. The matcha was rich & well-whisked - perfect for those who enjoy a classic matcha taste.
If you want to try their specialty & more trendy combinations (matcha/Vietnamese coffee with foam toppings like ube or tiramisu), you will need to order the iced version instead.

I had the Cafe Viet Ube & it was really good honestly. I'm more of a straight double espresso guy but I really enjoyed this unique blend. Will definitely be back to try something else! Also, super friendly owners :)
The coffee & matcha are really tasty & good quality! I love the variety of flavours, especially the seasonal ones, which are really unique. The kafta sandwich is also super good, & the meat is halal. Its gonna be a new go to for me!
Visited this cafe a few weeks ago with a friend & the girl at the counter was lovely, she offered us a sample of the toppings before we ordered. The matcha was delicious & the place was very nice. Will revisit again soon!
