Même une simple salade est ratée avec du poulet enrobé de chapelure huileuse indigeste.
Les repas étaient bons, le service correcte. Si vous prenez les filets de poulet, la majorité des morceaux sont très secs donc très durs. Nous etions tellement proche du couple à côté que nous avions l'impression de manger leurs champignons & de boire leur vin rouge. Nous étions 3, 1 chaise & bout de banquette. Peut-être éviter de trop coller les tables ...? Une belle soirée quand même!
Nice place to eat. I had a little trouble with the prime rib being overdone, but they fixed it quickly.
I had the pleasure of being served by Khalil at Baton Rouge Restaurant, Complexe Desjardins, & he truly deserves a five-star rating. Khalil may move at a steady pace, but his attention to detail is remarkable. Not only did he ensure our order was perfect, but the food was delicious. His sense of humor added a delightful touch to our dining experience. Those big, expressive eyes of his truly make him a master of detail - Khalil is a gem of a waite
It was okay but bad presentation & the vegetables were mushy. Probably frozen. Nothing on the plate was hot.
The food was horrible. I had a burger & a poutine, let’s just say it was the worst choice. I couldn’t even take more than 2 bites because of how repulsing the food was. On top of that, my dad ordered a fish dish, the fish wasn’t even well cooked. Do not recommend
In town for a conference, & last-minute dinner group was 12...on a Saturday night. After being turned away by 4 other places, gave Baton Rouge a shot...& they came through. Tomas & his staff not only accommodated us comfortably, but the on-going service was thorough, efficient, & friendly. Food was excellent too!
We were very happy to see Baton Rouge reopening! We called to make a reservation on the terrace & were delighted to hear that it was possible. We asked for confirmation several times during the call, reservations on the terrace are usually not possible, but we were assured that we would be sitting outside. Unfortunately, upon arriving we were told a different story & ended up having to eat inside.
We were kind of bummed out, but at least it gave us a chance to see the renovations. They were nice! Not too different, but a good upgrade on the space. We ordered spinach dip (excellent) garlic bread (not great, very oily & salty with what I assume was garlic powder instead of fresh garlic) ribs (ok) halloumi gnocchi (good vegetarian option even though they could have been more generous with the halloumi) Atlantic salmon (excellent). Service was ok. Overall a mediocre experience but I'm going to chalk it up to working out the kinks in a reopening. Not a bad experience, but there are better options in the area.
The Bâton Rouge finally re-opened after being under construction for months. The décor is modern & nice. It still smells brand new. From the hostess (which she was a doll) to the waiter, they were exceptional & very friendly. In the kids' meal, ice cream is included, but they had none. The waiter gave my daughter a big slice of chocolate cake instead. Loved my experience!

Assolutamente piatto migliore sono le ribs!
Oltre a questo piatto abbiamo anche preso due hamburger ma siamo rimasti delusi, uno con hamburger di maiale, brie e apple butter (aveva sapore solo di cannella) e l’altro hamburger di manzo con anello di cipolla (non era molto saporito)
Peccato perchè la location è molto carina e curata e lo staff gentile!
Finally! Baton Rouge at Complexe Desjardins is open again! Day two since opening. The waitress, Jade, was AMAZING! Fantastic & friendly. Wife loved the wine suggestion. The spinach dip has the original recipe. Yay!
Tried the Baton Rouge burger. Excellently done. Next visit, the filet mignon...yes, absolutely another visit in the plans.
Super il est à nouveau ouvert. Les patates pilées comme je les aiment, pas un pudding d’eau comme dans certaines places. Le filet mignon très bon & tel que demandé, dans les prix pour ce genre de repas. Bons conseils du serveur aussi. Je vais revenir c’est sur.
Nice dining experience in Montreal with elegant atmosphere & great service
