Arrived at the restaurant around 1pm on a Sunday. Not many people in the restaurant but service was quick & friendly. So I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki along with a beer. Very tasty & finished the whole plate. I will add this to my favorites for Montreal for sure.

The portion sizes are very reasonable for the prices. The lunch menu has a good selection. It's a little longer cook time but worth the wait, the food is really good.
I like large places so I feel good at Barbies especially cause they have booths . The guys who attended us where nice & attentive, always smiling. The menu offers many options & specials, all affordable. I ordered the casserole of sea food gratined & my husband, smoked meet sandwiche with fries & cauliflower salad. We also had the soup d jour . That was good but far from amazing.
This is our favorite restaurant....We, myself & my two nephews are regulars. We always get our usual table,,,not once have we been disappointed with the food or the service. The three of us have frequented many establishments , but none come close to Barbies, so we have decided its best to stick with what you know, & avoid disappointment,
I've been going to Barbie's when it first opened (maybe 25 years ago?). I haven't been there in around 5 years & nothing has changed except they finally renovated. We went for Sunday lunch on Father's Day. Service was quick & friendly. I ordered the smoke meat poutine & my husband ordered the pizzaghetti. Both were good & even better - $30 tax in. You really can't get a better deal price wise in the city, you just need to remember to print the coupons from their website. If you're looking for a good, inexpensive American-style restaurant, Barbie's should be your go to. Very family friendly too. They have a bar section if you just want to grab a drink or to watch a game.
I ordered the smoke meat platter which comes with fries & cold slaw. $25. Portion of meat was small, dried out & chewy like it had been reheated or microwaved. I was so disappointed because I was visiting from Nova Scotia & I used to eat there for years before the restaurant was renovated. The smoked meat was to die for back then. Not anymore. Don't waste your money on that item. I won't go back there

Last night, we were a group of over 60 people gathering for the retirement of my boss & we had an exceptional night! Started with the amazing collaboration with Santino & Chris for the preparation of the event & throughout the night. They were a text or call away for my questions, making the planning as easy as can be! For us, this was an absolute success. Chris even came for the night although it was his day off. The place is very clean & spacious. I am so glad we chose Barbie's Dorval for the event & will book for future events for sure! The small attentions provided all night made the difference. Santino made sure my glass was full, thinking of me when I didn't have the time. This was not left unnoticed. There was no hiccups at all & anyone planning an event of this type knows how crucial it is to have it as smooth as can be. They also took care of our VIP flawlessly. Now, the food! It was AMAZING! Filet mignon was a medium rare on every plates! The salmon was delicious. Same for the chicken & pizza! The sides were great & well seasoned! I wish I had taken pictures of the food!! Once again Thank you for everything! 10/10
Nous y sommes allés un dimanche soir. L'endroit était tranquille & les sièges confortables. Il faisait un peu froid dans le restaurant par contre. Pour les frileux, apportez vous un chale où un chandail. Le choix des cocktails & des plats est très intéressant. Vous pouvez bénéficier du menu 2 pour 35$ ou 2 pour 40$ ce qui est magnifique pour le rapport qualité-Prix. Les plats étaient excellents & même les calmars étaient bons, même si nous étions dans steakhouse. De plus, vous pouvez avoir 1 enfant qui ne paye pas par adulte qui prend un plat dans le menu à la carte chaque dimanche. (12 ans & moins) Les plats du menu enfant sont généreux & les boissons sont à volonté pour nos touts petits. Mon fils de 12 ans qui se plaint toujours des portions enfant à été satisfait. En général, c'est un restaurant à conseiller pour les gens avec des grosses familles ou des petits de moins de 12 ans. Nous avons tous manger & avec un tip à moins de 100$/ Famille de 6 composée de 2 parents & 4 enfants Les enfants ont dessiné sur leurs menus mais on ne nous a donné que 4 crayons 😢 les enfants int du se les échanger.
On a eu une expérience exceptionnelle aujourd'hui pour la fête des mères. On a très bien mangé, les portions étaient généreuses & tout était frais & délicieux. On a commandé des pizzas, burger, burger steak, brochettes poulet grecque. Recommandé 100%. La sangria tropicale était délicieuse & vient accompagné d'une portion généreuse des nachos gratuits. Comme dessert ils nous ont recommandé le tiramisú qui était vraiment parfait & pour finir notre repas on a eu des magnifiques mimosas à la fraises. Bien sûr que j' y retournerai.
