Extremely expensive for the small but very small portions for an ordinary food. The waiter was very annoying, making you feel ike you have to to rush, interrupting all the time ,like he own you Music very loud. I don't think it's a good restaurant, I will never ho backVoir plus

Great atmosphere (does it very well but it is not a WOW reaction so 4 star instead of 5)vbut the food is deliciously made & the tapas are decently priced for what you get. You can easily decern the multiple layers of flavours in each of the dishes & the sauces are not overwhelming.Voir plus

Located in a prime location in old Montreal at the corners of St. Francois Xavier & Notre Dame West, Babacool offers Levantine foods in a hyp atmosphere. The design of the restaurant sets the vide, faux-concrete trims with a stylish bar back lighting their bottles of alcohol, light grey walls with thin white lighting, & a strong back beat of club music. SUPPER The menu is tapas style so the portions are small but the quality of the good is very good. For our dinner we opted for the Lentil Soup (very good...almost like a stew & very hearty for a cold winter night), Hummus (very good), Mouhamara (excellent), Fatouche Salad (also very good) & a side of pita (very good...this version is the thicker kind...the portion of pita is small so I would suggest one order per person). For dessert we had the Baklava Cheesecake with Rose Syrup (light & fluffy but make sure you like rose flavoring before ordering). Service was friendly & on point although I did find it took some time to get our main dishes (although the restaurant was almost full). Enjoy! BREAKFAST We revised Babacool for their 10am & later brunch menu & again, were not disappointed. Clearly the room was much bright (& pinker) during the day giving off a slightly livelier feel (through still with a predominantly concreate vibe). There are a number of dishes on the menu that we would have liked to try settling on the Dipping Mix Plate (six small bowls of various dips along with a cut up pita bread...all of which were very tasty though on the savory side) & the Labneh Parfait (a mix of labneh (very similar to Greek yogurt) with jam-like berry mix topped with granola & a slice of baklava on the side...also very good). We went to babacool for their brunch on a Saturday morning & had a very pleasant experience! The food was genuinely very good & fairly affordable. The lattes were very good & our whole group enjoyed. The atmosphere was stunning & felt like a fine dining restaurant with casual dining prices. The service was pristine, the workers were very attentive, hospitable, kind, & helpful. They were also positive & friendly with accommodating food needs for the group. The food was grilled to order by a chef that is visible to the diners, I thought this was a nice touch & added to the experience. The brunch menu changes, but I would definitely go back to try new dishes. Overall, we had a great experience & would definitely recommend Babacool for an affordable, high quality group brunch in MTL.Voir plus
I visted Montreal for the weekend from the US & decided to visit this restaurant last Saturday for lunch. based on reviews. Great location, the food was filled with great flavour & the manager/owner was very present & welcoming.. I would definately visit again when ever I'm back in Montreal. This place is absolutely great, the lounge atmosphere is fun & allows for conversation. The food is delicious & great to share as a group. Very fresh salads, great sauces & delicious appetizers to share. The drinks are also very good, & the service is great. Genuinely an amazing place. The atmosphere is amazing with warm & kind waiters. I accidentally ordered the wrong dish & without even asking they took it off the bill & gave us the dish we wanted. Food was 10/10 & prepared quickly ( under 5 minutes). If you're looking for an amazing place to try, you gotta check this place out!Voir plus
Venu pour la fête d'un ami, nous avons du prendre le menu format mezze. Je ne m'attendais à rien & ce fut particulièrement délicieux ! Les entrées étaient fraîches & plaines de saveurs & on vous apporte gratuitement des pitas fraîchement sorties du four à volonté. La suite fut tout aussi délicieuse. Vraiment conquis !
