Review Summary

Automne Boulangerie receives broad praise for its breads, croissants and overall range, with many reviewers calling it the best bakery in Montreal and noting crusty sourdoughs, flaky croissants and a variety of breads, fougasses and other pastries that pair well with toppings including vegan options; the atmosphere is described as warm and conducive to work or study, and staff are often friendly, though some visitors report occasional longer waits and mixed quality or service post pandemic, as well as stock shortages on busy days, yet the overall impression remains highly favorable for the baked goods and the cardamom pastry and other specialties.

Everything is delicious :) My favorite are the English muffins & fougasse aux olives.

The breads & focaccia here are exquisite. I've tried the miche automne, Beaubien multigrain, blueberry ginger, the olive fougasse, tomatoe focaccia & olive & rosemary bread. The only complaint I have is with the blueberry ginger bread. Some ginger pieces were very large in my loaf 😂. It would be more pleasant if they chop them up more. It was with one loaf only as I bought this variety several times but the last one I bought on Friday the 16th on Bélanger had many larger pieces. Maybe the baker that day didn't chop them up. That bread goes amazing with vegan goat cheese by the way. All their breads are fantastic. Best bakery in Montreal for bread. Desserts & other products I never tried as they are not vegan friendly.
