About us

For more than 35 years, the restaurant Au Tarot has established itself as the best Mediterranean restaurant in Montreal. The restaurant Au Tarot is at once an Algerian restaurant, a Moroccan restaurant, and a Tunisian restaurant, as it marries all the cuisine of the Maghreb. To save you the effort of cooking, the restaurant offers free delivery of its fresh traditional dishes, cooked every day with care. Takeout meals are also available. Consult the chef for special delivery during events, weddings, film shoots, office parties, etc.

The chef-owner, Nouredine Kara, demanding and a perfectionist, does his own shopping by selecting the best fresh products from the market every day. He oversees everything: from the preparation of the semolina to the homemade production of the merguez; from the perfect composition of the tagines (which are undoubtedly the best in Montreal), to the warm and affable welcome of all customers. One often encounters many personalities from the world of arts, business, or politics at the restaurant, who are loyal fans of tagines, pastillas, and couscous, as well as the charm that reigns here.

Nous n'étions pas au restaurant! Nous étions reçu chez un ami... Mon amoureux étant marocain, il a pu discuter avec le propriétaire & nous avons eu droit à un repas de roi; cuisson des viandes impeccable, des fonds de cuisson savoureux & j'ai surtout apprécié que les légumes & couscous soient servis à côté.
Un personnel affable & généreux, d'autant plus que c'était un mardi soir! Un incontournable selon Mohamed, mon copain... Ainsi que moi-même & mes enfants.

Tout était super, tant la bouffe que le service! Les couscous & tajines furent excellents. Il en fut de même pour le petit dessert & le thé à la menthe. En plus, nous avons eu droit à un service hors pair, plein de petites attentions! Bref, nous avons passé une excellente soirée. Je recommande ce resto sans hésiter!

Sommes allés souper au restaurant AU TAROT samedi soir, nous avons trouvé le service aux tables ultra-sympathique & efficace, par contre, la nourriture assez ordinaire & l'endroit plutôt bruyant.
