About us

For more than 35 years, the restaurant Au Tarot has established itself as the best Mediterranean restaurant in Montreal. The restaurant Au Tarot is at once an Algerian restaurant, a Moroccan restaurant, and a Tunisian restaurant, as it marries all the cuisine of the Maghreb. To save you the effort of cooking, the restaurant offers free delivery of its fresh traditional dishes, cooked every day with care. Takeout meals are also available. Consult the chef for special delivery during events, weddings, film shoots, office parties, etc.

The chef-owner, Nouredine Kara, demanding and a perfectionist, does his own shopping by selecting the best fresh products from the market every day. He oversees everything: from the preparation of the semolina to the homemade production of the merguez; from the perfect composition of the tagines (which are undoubtedly the best in Montreal), to the warm and affable welcome of all customers. One often encounters many personalities from the world of arts, business, or politics at the restaurant, who are loyal fans of tagines, pastillas, and couscous, as well as the charm that reigns here.

Catastrophe, désolé mais si vous pouvez aller ailleurs n'hésitez pas. Un mauvais service, ustensiles salles, on a commandé un tajin au poulet, la nourriture est juste réchauffée, il y avait plus d'os que de poulet, & c'était vraiment pas bon aucune saveur. on a commandé du pain qui est arrivé 30 minutes plus tard. On a demandé de l'eau, on a reçu un pichet mais pas de verre, jamais quelqu'un nous a demandé si tout était correct, je tiens à préciser qu'on était les seuls au resto. On a pris la peine de préciser dès le début qu'on voulait partager l'assiete de tajin pour 2 & il nous a chargé un supplément de 15$.
