We stopped in unexpectedly without a reservation. The staff amazingly found a table for us with the caviate that we needed to finish our meal in 90 minutes. No problem as we were very hungry & we knew they were working hard to accommodate us. Our meals were incredible & very well prepared. Our server was equally outstanding making us feel very welcome while she explained the menu to us. We highly recommend this restaurant & will return again.View more

We were four guests. We all found the food experience was very uneven & disappointing. The service was excellent, & except for asking the AC to be turned off , since it was a cool evening outside, the atmosphere was fine. The food is another story. Both the salmon tartare, & especially the lamps chops, suffered from lack of taste. Not the overall dish, but the main ingredient could have been anything at all. The lamb chops in a brown sauce, completely got rid of any tase of lamb. We were shocked with what the chef did. Lamb has a distinct taste that shines unless deleted, which was what we found. The sauce was also more of a soup. & at 59$ for three small & unevenly cooked pieces of meat, we were extremely disappointed. The tartare had the same effect, no taste of salmon. So two proteins that are enjoyed for their inherent flavour, were thrown under the bus. The stuffed zucchini flowers were excellent, as were the stuffed figs. The pasta norma was plain & unremarkable.The tomato salad was superb.
We were sad that nothing really lived up to the hype in the introduction to the restaurant. Some things are due to a bad day, but specific decisions - like the smothered & overcooked lamb - tell us that we cannot recommend this restaurant to any of our friends. & we could not see ourselves coming back.View more
This was my go to spot pre Covid. Haven’t been there since unfortunately. Mushroom risotto was on point arguably the best in the city, the clam pasta was decent. Appetizers were all great, zucchini flower, figs. Prices are high but where hasn’t it increased. Service was good but the vibes from the old staff way better, new younger waiter was a bit off imho. Would only repeat if owner/cook is there.View more

My friends & I had a PHENOMENAL dinner last night. Absolutely every bite of every dish was perfect. On top of having one of the best meals I have had in a long time, the service was impeccable. Our waiter, Luciano, was funny, helpful, & patient while maintaining his polite professionalism the entire time. This was a great experience, & Primo e Secondo is one of this city's best restaurants.
Plusieurs visites depuis mon premier commentaire & si possible, encore meilleur. Quelle recherche dans les plats! La liste de vin s'allonge pour le mieux.
L'acceuil? incroyable. Gentil sans être sussureux; vous donne envie d'y retourner le lendemain.

Ce restaurant est sans contredit l'un des meilleurs restaurants de Montréal & ce, toutes catégories confondues. Le service est irréprochable. Le snobisme a été mis de côté pour faire place à une ambiance agréable & décontracté. La carte des vins est impeccable. Le prix est tout à fait raisonnable lorsque l'on prend en considération la qualité du service que nous recevons ainsi que de la nourriture que nous y mangeons. Bravo !
Ambiance agréable, bon service, mais tout se gâte dans l'assiette. En effet malgré la qualité des ingrédients ,la quantité de sel ajouté fait que vous avez l'impression de déguster une saumure. À votre sortie vous êtes prêt pour l'acv! Aussi l'absence de légumes fait cruellement défaut. Le tout se termine avec une addition également très salée. En définitive très décevant.
One word "Fantastic". I am not one to really want to go to an Italian restaurant since I grew up eating it, but we went there for a 65th birthday party, & oh my, it was delicious.
I ordered the beef carpaccio & it was fresh, light, & melted in your mouth. My husband ate half my dish even though he is the type of person to ask for his hamburger super well done. He's been converted.
Main dish was three huge shrimps, U6, with mango salsa, on a puree of white beans. They were succulent & prepared to perfection.
Dessert was put in the middle of the table for us to share. Nothing really stood out, though nothing was bad. We had the creme caramel, tiramisu, & something else that I can't recall.
It is an expensive restaurant, & though I wouldn't go there every week, I find for quality of food & service it to be well priced & would definitely go back.
Excellent service, excellente nourriture. Recettes très originales. Produits frais & de qualité. Un peu cher... mais ça vaut la peine une fois de temps en temps!

Il ne faut pas se fier à l'extérieur très simple...ce restaurant est un des meilleur de Montréal.
J'aime beaucoup cet endroit, la nourriture est toujours très bonne, u mélange de classique italien avec une petite touche français...très bon service, des serveurs qui connaissent les bieres, vins, fromages proposés. Deux bémols...la tailles des portions de fromages, c'est vraiment petit (par contre le miel de truffe est délicieux). & les desserts...le tiramisu aux châtaignes qui n'avait pas de gout. Par contre le fondant au chocolat est a se rouler par terre!!
L'addition n'est pas donné mais c'est un très bon restaurant!
