I recently dined at Jardin Nelson & unfortunately, my experience was not entirely enjoyable due to the food. I found the dishes at Jardin Nelson to be lacking in flavor & overall appeal. The menu options did not meet my expectations in terms of taste & quality. The dish I ordered was particularly disappointing; it lacked freshness & seemed uninspired. In addition to the food, the service was also subpar. The staff seemed disinterested & inattentive, which further detracted from the overall dining experience. While the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant enough, the disappointing food & lackluster service overshadowed any positive aspects. In conclusion, I did not have a favorable experience at Jardin Nelson due to the disappointing food quality & indifferent service. I hope these aspects can be improved to enhance the overall dining experience for future patrons.View more

Visit somewhat spoiled by loud customer at table about 15 ft away (Sunday, May 28) Informed waitress & male staffer in blue shirt. Male said could do nothing but relocate us, whichmay have been fine if not halfway through meal & if table readily available. Always try to visit Jardin when in town & waited half hour to get in. Bad luck & disappointed in outcome. Not once did i see that table look at musicians or applaud. Unsure why there. Guy spoke almost non-stop. Believe just loud, not drunk. Perhaps he was oblivious to surroundings. Although packed house, at one point there were two empty tables (they were distinct groups) beside his. I think this not coincidental. Anyway, believe it could have been gently pointed out to customer that he might lower volume when musicians playing. (I am anglo, as was loud customer.) Unless mistaken, I believe the main attraction is the music. Otherwise all was fine.View more

Jardin Nelson will always have a line of people waiting to get in during the summer months, but I can tell you the wait is worth it! This is a lovely restaurant set in a beautiful garden away from the craziness of Montreal's Old Town streets. It's literally a hidden oasis! Once you're given a menu, you'll find there is a plethora of options - they have a very impressive selection of crêpes (which I absolutely would recommend getting), excellent salads, very good pizzas, & that's really just scratching the surface! They have so many different items on the menu, it's crazy! Try a variety of different things, & don't be afraid to ask the waiters/waitresses what they would recommend. That's what we did, & it helped a lot! Service was very good, food came out in a reasonable manner, & despite it being in a very touristy part of Montreal, prices were not exorbitant. All in all, a very impressive restaurant we will always return to whenever we are visiting the city!View more

Beautiful terrace for lunch at the old port of Montreal in the summer. Always a line up, which can be annoying, but also a sign that the place is loved by many! Had the bruschetta & the ceviche. They were both good, but nothing out of this world. Still thoroughly enjoyed my lunch experience at Jardin Nelson.View more
J'y suis allé plusieurs fois & chaque fois c'est merveilleux! La nourriture est vraiment bonne & l'ambiance est agréable. La décoration des lieux rends cette terrasse intérieure distinguée & originale. Le lieux est aussi situé parfaitement par rapport aux activités du vieux port.View more
This is a wonderful restaurant & also my favorite place to visit in Montréal. They serve delicious food & have an accomodating staff. The interior of the restaurant is a very open, airy environment. Be sure to come when the live music is being performed!View more

Everyone told me I had to try this place. So I did. I had I stopped for lunch on what was one of hottest fall days I've encountered. 32c. On October 3rd. The patio was lovely. Très bonne expérience dans ce restaurant ! Le poke au jacquier que j'ai commandé était délicieux, bien assaisonné, beaucoup de saveurs, & plutôt bien garni. La portion était très bien. Le personnel était accueillant & agréable, l'extérieur est très beau ! Les prix sont plutôt corrects. Highly over-rated Service was ridiculously slow. We waited forever to order & we were there for dinner early. I had to flag one of the hostesses down to get our waiter. The chairs are super uncomfortable & the tables too close together. I was disappointed with the menu choices. The shrimp tacos I ordered were not what I expected. On a positive note: the small sangria pitcher is perfect for 2 people & the cookie dessert was delicious.View more
