Gia Ba has amazing "non westernized" dishes. If you've never had chicken with chili & mushrooms, go run & try it. It's not a stir fry dish, it's a braised type of dish of chicken thighs in a spicy oily sauce with shitake mushrooms. It's one of the best dishes I've ever had & is pretty much all I order. If you look at the majority of poor reviews, they are coming from diners who had basic dishes like General Tao. I agree their version of General Tao isn't very good & I wish they didn't even have it on their menu. It doesn't go with the rest of their menu but I guess they're trying to please everyone. The Dan Dan Noodles are also very good. Stay away from the generic westernized dishes & you won't be disappointed.Voir plus

By far, the best Asian place I've ever tried. I get takeout once a week. The food is delicious, fresh, & the chef & staff are so kind. My family, partner, & I are all hooked, making it a staple in our dining traditions. The savory favorites I always order include Brussels sprouts with walnuts that melt in your mouth, & the General Tao chicken, showcasing high-quality chicken, not overly breaded like in other places. Paired with their perfectly cooked rice, I'll never get tired of eating there. I highly recommend discovering this hiddenVoir plus
Excellent food. The chicken was one of the best ive ever had. The flavours in all the dishes was top notch. The dumplings in the wonton soup may have had too much wrapping. I must visit again & try multiple dishes & see the consistency of the wiality but I suspect it'll deserve a spot in my top chinese restaurants.Voir plus
I've been looking for a place that serves authentic Schezwan poached fish, & THIS IS THE PLACE. We also had a plate of green beans with rice, & the flavours were beyond delicious. I can't recommend this place enough, we drove all the way from Plateau to here & it was well worth it. I felt bad for them because they were short staff so we couldn't eat there, but the food traveled super well, & they'll be back on track early september. Can't wait to go back, this place deserves way more attention compared to all the franchises on Monkland. I honestly don't understand why this gem is not more popular, maybe it will happen with time.Voir plus
