The restaurant has a nice decor & ambiance. On a Friday night the restaurant was not busy & considering what we experienced that is no surprise. Unlike some hotel restaurants whose amazing offerings make it a destination for locals, I can't imagine this restaurant so close to so many alternatives would ever be. We started with French Onion Soup. It was served appropriately. The cheese was good, the onion soup a little too sweet (but I accept that some would like that), & the bread was crunchy but tasted old / stale (which I can't imagine people would like). I had a rotisserie chicken which was plated attractively. The chicken came out slightly on the dry side. The rosemary was not the strong ingredient in the Rosemary Cabernet Sauvignon sauce making this a sort of rich & sweet sauce. The pairing of ingredients was unique. Somehow the nuts did enhance the combination but overall I wouldn't recommend this dish. We also had a burger & a Caesar salad. The burger was average but the Caesar salad surprisingly was done with a proper dressing that had a light anchovy flavor. The croutons were not stale (unlike the bread in the French Onion soup) & had an appropriate garlic flavouring. Too light on the cheese in the salad though. The burger was good. Chocolate lava cake was well plated & had a nice chocolatey flavour with fresh raspberries, whipped cream, & other milk & white chocolate crumbles around it. It was a bit on the small side compared to other chocolate lava cakes or chocolate souffles you might get. It was semi-warm but not the oozing warm to hot chocolate you might expect. Service was below average which shouldn't have been the case considering the restaurant wasn't that busy. The only saving grace was that the bar tender would sometimes see that we were bored & not being served & step out from the bar to backfill for the waiter. We timed how long it took to get the bill... it was over ten minutes. In summary no items got 5/5. If I had only a burger, Caesar salad, & chocolate lava cake at the bar I might have given this restaurant a 4/5. But French Onion soup shouldn't go wrong, chicken should be moist, lava should be hot, & service would be prompt.Voir plus

I had high hopes for this restaurant based on the brand it is associated with. However, we order a take away meal to relax in our room with. The process for this is to give the order to the hostess to deliver to a server & then wait & the server bring the food to you ready to go. Upon returning to my room they did not have the chicken in the Cajun chicken Caesar salad. I had to call down a nd wait an extra 15 minutes to eat. My son's burger was burnt & my chicken, when it was finally ready, was very dried & not seasoned. I was charged 11 dollar gratuity & had below average food.Voir plus

Beautiful restaurant a couple of friends & I tried for the first time for MTL à Table this year. The environment was nice, the tables are not too close to each other so you get pretty decent privacy. The areas are separated by walls so it is not too noisy either. The food was delicious & everything was very flavourful. Our waiter was hilarious, sassy, & classy. He joined in on our conversations (appropriately) & even told us about the history of the restaurant & its staff. Most staff has been there for 10+ years so not high turnover rate. That speaks volumes. We will definitely be returning! Pro-tip : You can park in the hotel for free for up to 2h. PS: Anthony takes THE best pictures I have ever seen. ;)Voir plus

It was everything you'd expect from the westin! The food was prepared to perfection, & the server was a delight. They are definitely going to see us back very soon. What's better than sleeping at the westin & dining at the gazette! You won't regret itVoir plus

We had breakfast & dinner at the GaZette. The morning buffet has a variety of choices especially fresh fruits. We enjoyed the scrambled eggs & breakfast sausages.

Our dinner's server Patrick is more than excellent; he offered excellent recommendation & of coz went above & beyond to make sure we had wonderful experience here. The calamari & Cavatelli were best of the best. Truly enjoyable 😉.Voir plus

Typical business restaurant in downtown, connected to the Westin hotel.

However, the staff & food sets it apart. Excellent service by our smiling & efficient waiter. & the food - a simple Caesar salad - was fresh, tasty & served almost immediately.Voir plus
