steak(30) rib(23) bar(15) salad(11) burger(8) lunch(7) price(7) fries(7) rib steak(6)I used to eat at Baton Rouge quite regularly, but stopped going there about 6 months ago. I almost always ordered the rib steak which came with slaw & a baked potato or fries. It was OK, but they kept raising the prices & when they raised it to $54, I didn't think it was such a good deal anymore. They probably raised the price again since I last ate there. After they did the renovations, they got really pissy about charging me $5 extra for a little extra sour cream on my baked potato beyond the little dab they give you. The manager Jimmy was a total prick, was extremely hostile & rude to me when I complained about the extra charge. I contacted head office the next day because of the rudeness & one of the assistant managers called me & promised me a complimentary steak dinner to apologize & show good will, but I was later contacted by the owner who reneged on that promise. After being subjected to a half hour lecture about why he didn't feel a free steak dinner was warranted, he promised he would "take care of me" next time I came in. After charging me full price PLUS $5 for extra sour cream, he gave me a $25 gift certificate good on my next visit. I went back one final time to use the credit toward a rib dinner which was awful. The "rack & a half" they offer on the menu, was, in reality, a rack & a tiny extra piece (about 1/10 of a rack for $8 extra) & it was overcooked & dry. The place to go is Marven's. I go there 2-3 times a month. They serve up a huge 16 oz rib steak which beats Baton Rouge to hell. It is delicious. In addition they include a huge Caesar salad & home fried potatoes all for $39. The service is amazing & they don't nickel & dime you for a little extra courtesy. Anybody who ever tries a rib steak at Marven's would never even think about returning to Baton Rouge. I don't like being reneged on after a promise had been made & I am done with Baton Rouge.Voir plus

My goto place in mtl, everything I had from menu was good, highly recommended. Steak is better than the $100 steak across the street.Voir plus
Très bon restaurant 👌 Nourriture excellente, très bon service & rapide pour un samedi soir. Difficile de se trouver un stationnement, mais je le recommande 😉Voir plus
Food was edible. Service was ok but the atmosphere wasn't all that greatVoir plus
I come here for my favorite dish: the chimichurri steak. The atmosphere at the bar is nice.Voir plus
Sometimes they don't cook the food all the way & way too expensive for nothing. I guess it depends on what you're taking , can't speak for all the food.Voir plus
Classic restaurant, steak was a bit cold when it arrived but taste great, octopus for sharing was enough for for one person.Voir plus
The rib steak (with garlic & steak spice) & the fully loaded baked potato were delicious!Voir plus

Première visite depuis les rénovations. L'endroit était bien. Les portions sont correctes.Voir plus
The quality of the food is not what we expected. The vegetables tasted like they had been sitting in the water. Atmosphere very louder & isn't even lounge. They change restaurants design is sad.Voir plus
As a pescatarian I am pretty particular about my fish. I am often told that I should not have high expectations at a steakhouse, but in my experience, the chef at a highly rated steakhouse should know how to cook a good piece of fish, especially salmon!!! I haven't been to Baton Rouge in a long time, but if memory serves me, they did make an awesome piece of salmon. Unfortunately, in contrast to my memory, what was on my plate was nothing I was prepared for. When the plate arrived the fish smelled fishy- my first mistake was to not just give it back. I doused it in lemon juice hoping to cover up the cheap fish smell but it ate like it smelled. To top it off there were the most bland vegetables on the plate, a teeny ramekin with a tomato & onion salsa & another ramekin with a very so so sauce. To be honest, I may as well have been eating in a Denny's diner. Oh well, I guess all those naysayers were correct & I might have to up my game & pay a few bucks more at say....a Keg Steakhouse for a better piece of salmon.Voir plus
