Venez essayer un bijou de restaurant, le 40 Westt, situé dans l’Ouest -de- l’île de Montréal, à peine quelques minutes de l’aéroport et à proximité du centre-ville. Notre viande de bœuf, de qualité supérieure, est vieillie à sec, sur place, pendant une trentaine de jours, lui donnant ainsi son goût unique et savoureux! Nous concoctons de délicieux martinis, une table d’hôte abordable sans parler des fantastiques spectacles de jazz, que nous vous présentons les fins de semaine. Peu importe si vous désirez le meilleur steak en ville, des huîtres d’une fraîcheur incomparable, des desserts irrésistibles, ou simplement une soirée animée, le restaurant 40 Westt vous fera vivre une expérience hors du commun!

Il est possible de réserver le restaurant au grand complet, uniquement le dimanche, pour un minimum de 80 personnes.

Je me suis pointée à ce restaurant seule pour célébrer mon anniversaire (oui, j'adore ça...). Mon serveur était extraordinairement attentionné. Il a pris soin de ma petite personne, m'a proposé un cocktail & un repas selon mes goûts. Première fois que je goûtais à un filet mignon sur l'os. C'était savoureux. À la fin de mon repas, j'ai demandé la carte des desserts & mon serveur m'a répondu, presque choqué de ma demande : « C'est votre anniversaire! J'ai déjà commandé quelque chose pour vous. » J'ai adoré. Trois serveurs m'ont ensuite apporté un soufflé au chocolat fondant avec crème glacée tout en me souhaitant bonne fête. J'ai adoré! & que dire de ce dessert... Sur la coche comme on dit. &, l'un des propriétaires du resto est venu me piquer une jasette pour me souhaiter bonne fête & s'enquérir de mon niveau de satisfaction. J'ai adoré aussi. En somme, ce resto est la grande classe. J'aime essayer tous les meilleurs restos en ville & celui-ci a réussi à se distinguer par la qualité hors pair de son service. À un point tel que le prix du repas - oui, c'est cher, & on s'y attend - est assez secondaire. L'expérience globale vaut amplement le prix. J'ai déjà hâte de retourner au 40 Westt!Voir plus

Had an amazing dining experience at 40 Westt! The food was exceptional, starting off with the freshest oysters, followed by Crab & rack of lamb. Ariana, our waitress, went above & beyond, providing spot-on menu recommendations as well as wine pairing. Can't wait to return!Voir plus

Service was great, mac n cheese truffle entree was unbelievably good. Everything else was mediocre to not good. Steaks are cooked perfectly inside but charred on the outside, like burnt, if you tap your fork on steak its like tapping a table, they say it's because it's dry aged but other steakhouses i've visited with dry age steaks don't have this problem, if you like your steak this way it's 5 stars. I also agree with what most people say, hugely overpriced for what you get.Voir plus

Went to this restaurant with a big group(15) for a birthday. We were served by Rachid. The service was impeccable, food delicious & the wine recommended matched perfectly our plates. The food was great, but not sure if it felt somewhat overpriced. The service was spectacular, every issue was swiftly dealt with. The one thing that was not amazing was the table, it was not properly set & ended up being slightly slanted, which was inconvenient. I would recommend going, as the food was super, but just slightly overpriced. The only other thing that was odd, is that the place is hard to find because their sign is really small & not easy to see.Voir plus

10/10 no mistake 👏🏻 the service the ambiance the food ... just beautiful exceptional every time . They don't do any mistake in there 😀. Service is excellent , everything looks great , the food is consistently presented to perfection . I'll happily state that the staff we were assigned were great. Knowledgeable about food & liquor & made the experience fantastic in that regard. What I will address though is that after much fanfare I was ultimately let down by the majority of food that my wife & I ate at the 6 party table. •Oysters • Tofu • Fillet Mignon with Bone •Half a dozen whiskeys Shared was:, bottles of mineral, coffees, cakes & the other 4 people's mains etc etc I'll state that my steak required a certificate in carpentry to cut. I'd estimate 10-15 full back & forth motions. This was the fillet mignon. Fat was not rendered, meat did not cut, meat was chewy & tendony & honestly had no flavour profile other than being charred & salty. As an Aussie, not the preferable kind either. I'll leave that at that. Nothing else needed saying if you cook your own steaks carefully & have worked with finer cuts of meat. You will not find that convenience if going out to get it here. A disappointment for a birthday outing. Tofu. Dry, hard, somehow over seasoned in the surface yet fibrous & bland throughout. Sides were fine for portion but carried the dish far more than its namesake. & I dare say that may have been an elevated rating given by the comparison of the tofu. Also whoever pulled our unspeakable espresso shots. Spem populo dare. Da illis semel As it is. Fine decor, exceptional wait staff, middling food. Reminds me a little of my military officer dinners.Voir plus

Great ambiance, quality steaks & excellent service aimed to keep the customer curious, entertained & in the process making the time memorable. Kudos to Rashid & team for a wonderful evening yesterday serving our group of about 12 people. Now to the main course - the food... If you visit this restaurant, do order the seafood tower - you're welcome! Lobster, jumbo shrimp, crab, oysters - in an impeccable presentation. Appetizers - we ordered at the recommendation of Rashid a few - calamari, scallops, an engineered feat of a small pita with cheese & caviar put together at the table, & Japanese Wagyu samplers- the entire team thoroughly enjoyed the starters. At some point someone asked if we even needed any steaks! Now to the steaks. Rashid brought out a bunch of cuts to explain the different nuances - it was obvious that he's done it a few times, as he went through it seamlessly! Most of the team were intrigued by the bone-in fillet mignon, an 18 oz, roughly 2" thick steak with enough marbling to render a juicy steak after it hits the 1500 degree Celsius coal fired grill. The second crowd favorite was the Cowboy steak. Verdict - from an ambiance & service standpoint, I rate the restaurant & it's crew as 5 stars. On the seafood - 5 stars again, a rarity from my side to rate seafood at a Steakhouse for 5 stars. & the ratings for the steaks - 4 stars. & my reasons for not rating them at 5 stars. Start with the Japanese Wagyu samplers - I didn't find the Wagyu samplers to be in the top category comparing similar samplers I've had in the recent past, most notably Blueblood Steakhouse at Toronto Casa Loma. The bone-in fillet mignon was unique & I've never seen this on a menu till now. It was cooked perfectly well & as you go closer to the bone, the flavors increase as well. I definitely enjoyed the steak. Overall, a quality Steakhouse with an excellent seafood offerings in the Montreal area, which I'll highly recommend for any connoisseurs of a good steak!Voir plus
