Coba Bar: A Super Pretty Healthy and Fresh Restaurant on Notre-Dame Street
Fitness and well being are becoming more prevalent in our lives thanks to the accessibility of health products and new trends regarding nutrition such as veganism for example.  Considering all the factors that can affect our health today, such as pollution, it is important to eat well to function well and stay healthy. Following this trend, we are seeing more and more restaurants offering a fresh and healthy menu to make sure you are eating only the best.

The Coba Bar is a counter style health food restaurant that has opened recently close to the ETS. Stop by and enjoy their delicious bowls, smoothies and sandwiches. They welcomed us into their lovely surroundings so that we could try the delicious food offered on their menu.

You can take your order to go or have a seat in their charming dining room filled with plants. The decor is great; perfect for an perfect Instagram pic! The Coba Bar is the perfect spot for between classes or for a business lunch if you work in the area.

The staff is friendly and the service is fast. Their menu is elaborated and focused on freshness. You can choose from a selection of carefully crafted signature bowls or mix one yourself by selecting the ingredients of your choice. Their sandwiches are served on a tasty and fluffy flat bread, six options are offered to please all tastes.

There are also six options of smoothies made with delicious fresh fruits and vegetables; we tried the Coba-Apple made with apple, mint, ginger and kale. This smoothie was invigorating and tasty!

If you are passing by a little earlier in the morning, a breakfast menu is at your disposal to start your day off right!

We decided to create our own bowls by choosing from all the ingredient options offered. First, you select the protein you want, then all the fillings and finally the sauces. The first bowl we made had marinated portobello, a base of saffron and turmeric-flavoured rice, kale, edamame, avocado puree, tomatoes and a delicious spicy mayonnaise. The portobellos were really the stars of the dish, their texture as well as the sauce they were marinated in were incredible, we wanted more!

The second bowl had a generous piece of Asian-style salmon, with wakame salad, kale, cucumber, baba ganoush, tomatoes and beets, served on a brown rice base. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the mix of all the flavours was quite satisfactory.

Finally, the chef offered us dessert: a chocolate chip cookie straight out of the oven, soft and fluffy, and a gluten free chocolate and zucchini cake. The two desserts delighted us and finished our lunch nicely.

Visit the Coba Bar see for yourself how great it is!
