Located in the heart of Blainville, Bistro MM Station Culinaire welcomes you to share their passion for good food. The restaurant is rather spacious, but the atmosphere still feels warm and welcoming. A large mirror covers a good part of one of the walls along the entire dining room, which gives the impression of a bigger space. In the evening, dimmed lighting and jazzy music create a romantic atmosphere. The decoration is simple but complements the dining room perfectly.

We received very nice service from Nancy, who took care of us during the time we were there. It was possible to opt for the "à la carte" menu or the "table d'hôte". We chose the "table d'hôte", which allowed us to taste more dishes on the menu.

The meal began with a delicious soup made of sweet potatoes, that was slightly spicy with a texture that was really velvety. This first appetizer opened up our appetite.

Subsequently, we chose the scallop appetizer and the "fondues parmesan". The scallops were flavored with bergamot and served on caramelized pearl onions with a balsamic raspberry coulis. The seafood was cooked to perfection and the fragrance of the bergamot embellished the taste wonderfully.   When it comes to the "fondues parmesan", the tasty mix of cheeses in generous crispy breading was devoured in no time.

For the main meals, we opted for the cod dish as well as the beef back steak. The cod was served on a bed of pearled couscous, also called Israeli couscous, and was accompanied by some vegetables and fried parsnips. Small pieces of smoked trout from St-Alexis, flavored with sambuca liquor, covered the cod fillet. The portion was just generous enough and every element that made up the plate highlighted the fish.

The beef back steak was perfectly cooked, and the meat was tender and juicy. A generous portion of potatoes cooked in duck fat as well as grilled vegetables accompanied the meat. To complete the dish, a creamy buttery gravy covered the bottom of the plate.

With the "table d'hôte", we could choose from a selection of small desserts, the portions adapted perfectly to the appetite we had at this stage of the meal. We chose a banana cheesecake and a white cake covered with berries and served with a strawberry frozen yogurt. They were both delicious!

Our experience at this restaurant was very nice, we left with full bellies and a happy feeling!
