Chill ambiance, great beer. The food is hit-and-miss: some dishes are generously portioned and well priced, some others are a bit of a rip-off. I recommend staying with the traditional pub-like foods like burgers, roasts, grill et cetera. Their sandwiches look great too. Their pseudo-pizzas, on the other hand, seem a little overpriced. As it is a microbrewery, be bold and try their beers, and if you are with a group try to sample all the beers in stock between yourselves.

I'd be there twice a week if it wasn't too long a walk from my place. Hanashima is wonderful and a must try. I've eaten there several times and every time was great. The service is fast and efficient, helped by the bar-like set up. It is dirt cheap, and you get amazing value for money. The combo price (because you want to take the combo) includes unlimited green tea, ice cream and iced coffee. I recommend the traditional broth only for vegetarians who don't eat spicy: seaweed won't tickle your taste buds. If you have the spicy broth, don't be shy to ask for a water refill after a while: it gets really spicy! This place is a little Chinatown gem.

Brought my parents to Maestro twice and it was fantastic. First time we went for the oyster happy hour and were positively impressed by the quality of the oysters, the care in presenting them and the attention dedicated to us. Needless to say the oysters were delicious and I mean that. Second time round it was New Year's eve. The set dinner was the best choice. For 85 dollars per person we ate some of the best seafood in our lives. The final "On Ice" platter included half a lobster, half a snow crab, a bowl of mussels and tiger shrimps. We all struggled to finish, but it was so delicious we made the effort. Wine-wise I'd recommend the Orvieto Classico. Although it is one of the lowest-priced by the bottle, it is imho a very good accompaniment, particularly with the oysters. The lady who owns the place is fantastic and makes everyone feel at home and welcome. It is a great restaurant, the reduced size makes it even cosier and the food quality and presentation are out of this world. You definitely get what you pay for and all things considered the prices are very good. 12 dollars for 12 oysters and 85 dollars a head for a humongous seafood dinner on New Year's eve are remarkably good offers. Will definitely come back to celebrate an important occasion.
