I thought this place was going to be overrated, as is often the case with 'famous' places. I was wrong. It was the best smoked meat sandwich I have ever had.. the meat just dissolves in your mouth. It is so very tender and tasty. The pickle was a bit too salty for my tastes but still delicious. The service was pretty crap. I guess they get so many people in there that they've forgotten that it's still a good idea to be nice to each customer. Service is important to me.. I'll avoid a place if I know the service is really bad. Yeah you might have wonderful food but if I feel like I'm just a pain in your you know what.. why would I want to eat in your restaurant?? Hopefully, their service will get better because I'd love to go back.. I just don't want to be treated like I'm an annoyance.
good, tasty food but overpriced for what you get.. my meal was a ton of fruit with 2 sausages wrapped in cheese and crepe.. they were really good but the size of the meal wasn't worth the price. I do love fruit and enjoy fruit with my meal but I don't want to pay for a pile of fruit when I can just buy it myself at a corner grocers.. I go out to eat to get food I can't necessarily make myself, so I'd rather go somewhere they gives you more food they made rather than fruit. Atmosphere was OK.. definitely feels like a chain.. I guess I'd recommend it but it's not my first, 2nd or 3rd choice!!
I don't find their flavoured beers taste like much of anything other than beer.. the place is pretty dingy and could do with a fix up (even while maintaining the 'bar' look it's nice to feel like you're in a clean place) it's a good student hangout but I definitely would not make it my first choice by any means.
