Very well run seafood place with a great oyster selection and friendly staff. The owner/manager is a wonderful woman who really takes her time to make you feel welcome in her establishment. Fairly priced wine selection Sadly, I don't go enough!
Came here for lunch this week based on several recommendations. The pizza is among the best in the city, and it's fun to have such a place in the downtown core. Two points of criticism: the manager hounding people to move forward in the line every time a two-foot gap opens every 30 seconds is altogether unwelcoming and annoying. It's fine that your restaurant is busy, but you shouldn't make your customers feel like badly-behaved schoolchildren. I'm sure it's enough to make some people walk out. Their toppings are quite expensive. A base pizza is reasonably priced, but with a few toppings added can easily set you back around $20. Too expensive for a stand-at-the-counter takeout style lunch IMO. I'll probably go back, but only when I'm craving a really good pizza.
Not the nicest location, but this is some of the best pho in the city. It's almsot a mandatory stop every time I'm in the east end of Montreal.
Great menu, inspired & unique dishes. First place I ever tried veal carpaccio (probably a decade ago). Still a very solid choice for a good meal in a part of down that gets more interesting every time I visit.
Came in for a late lunch. The food was decent but the service was virtually non-existent. There's no excuse for making a patron feel like and unwelcome intruder in your establishment. At that point, you might as well just close the front door.
Dined here many times over the years. It's good at what it does, doesn't try to be what it's not. Tasty grilled stuff and who doesn't enjoy a little fado music while sipping on a some porto after a hearty meal?
I've eaten here many times over the years. It is quite simply a Montreal insitution. Professionals in every sense of the word. Many Montreal restaurateurs could learn a thing or two from these guys. Keep it up. To many more years!
A great pie. Have eaten there several times and can say it's been quite consistent. I'd say it may be the best in the city.
