I'm a programmer, board game lover and long time sushi affecionado. I have recent started a blog about the sushi restaurants I visit - come check out sushireview.ca!
This is our go-to lunchtime restaurant. The sushi here is plentiful and tasty, and the service is quickly to bring or take orders and ensure you don't wait longer than necessary. The fish is of fairly good quality and the rolls offer a good variety of tasty fish and flavours. The restaurant also features a selection of tempura, chinese dishes (think General Tao), dumplings and udon, to ensure that even non-sushi lovers in your party can enjoy themselves. Sho-dan targets the business crowd located in Montreal's downtown core. The wine list is fine, the patrons are fine, the dining is fine, and the prices match. While the fish is merely of reasonable quality, the chef put a lot of thought into creating interesting rolls that feature texture, taste and aroma.
This is a fine Japanese restaurant located in Cote-des-Neiges. They have a varied menu and offer high quality, fresh fish. Be careful if you arrive during lunch, though, the sushi chefs are not to be rushed, so get there early if you have a meeting!
This is a gem of a restaurant tucked away in the plateau. While the restaurant is small the ideas are large, and the chef combines fresh in ingredients in novels ways to create must-try delicacies. For more details, check out my blog.
