The food is excellent. Best Indian restaurant i've been to in Montreal so far. The food is savory, fresh and well-executed.You get traditional indian dishes the way they were meant to be enjoyed. If the dish is meant to be spicy, it will be spicy. Le Taj does not take the ''safe for everyone'' route. They are ''all-in'' with traditional dishes. I would definitely suggest taking the Feast. It allwos you to try a little bit of every category from the menu. The price is not overly expensive but it's not inexpensive either. Well worth the price you pay though. The service was excellent as well. Very welcoming yet professional. A nice balance. Our waiter was very chatty and very nice. The only reason I did not give a 5-star for service is because the waiter forgot my beer. We will definitely return to Le Taj and will encourage others to try it out!

Honestly, this restaurant speaks for itself. We've eaten at many restaurants in the city, MANY, but none come close to the caliber of this one. Food is EXCELLENT. You can literally taste the love and passion that goes into the food here. The service is equally great. This place has an awesome atmosphere and is not pretentious at all. Do yourself a favor and please go eat here, you will not regret it! Warning: not for vegetarians!

Typical commercial Italian food. Nothing too special about this place. Food was mediocre but not bad.The service was courteous and responsive. The atmosphere is nice. Laid back and welcoming. A good place to go with large parties and/or kids.

The food is mediocre at best. The dough was too thick for that type of pizza and again, didn't taste fresh enough. And coming from an Italian-Canadian, the pasta sauce wasn't very good. Wouldn't return again. The service, however was pretty good, except that it was way too quick. They brought out our main meals while we were still eating our appetizers. My pizza also came about 8-10 mins after everyone else's meal had arrived. As a consolation, they did offer me a free beer which was nice. Overall the experience was forgettable.

Great luittle brew pub. I am an amateur of beer and this is amust visit. They have their own beers, but they also have guest beers as well. Typical bar scene, that some say can be a little depressing. The service started off bad (took forever to get a server to come over) but after that it was great. The obvious french waiter made a huge effort to speak to us in English and that was very much appreciated. The waiters also know beer pretty well. The food we had was pretty good. I had a dried seal sausage was pretty delicious and different. We then ordered the nachos which were great. This place understands that the cheese needs to be everywhere when you eat nachos! Definitely would recommend!

This place is extremely pretentious. Food is mediocre at best and, for what you get, it is EXTREMELY expensive. Nice ambiance in the whole restaurant but the waiters we had were pretty snobby. Nothing really stuck out in the steak I had. It was tender and all but was not worth what I paid for it. I've eaten better steaks at less than half the price at other restaurants. I do not recommend this place to anyone and will never return. I wouldn't even go back if someone paid for me.

Absolutely delicious food! My girlfriend says it's her favorite restaurant in the city. It is definitely in my top 3! The food is so good, that you almost need to close your eyes when taking a bite! The Kafta is incredible. The hummus is the best i've ever eaten. Period. The atmosphere is also very nice, kind of dark, cozy and somewhat romantic. The staff is super friendly as well. Highly recommended!

Food is fresh and delicious. Have been many times and each time it is fantastic! Very homey atmosphere in this little restaurant. Authentic Salvadorian food and great service. Very inexpensive for the amount of food you get. Will definitely be back!

Poutine is one of the best in city, if not the best. Many varieties and all are delicious. Highly recommend this spot for a late night snack with some friends. You'll probably have to wait but it is well worth it! Service is decent as well. Have been many times, and will return many more times.

Had the chicken tenders and rib combo. The food was mediocre at best. The ribs tasted burnt instead of smoked. The chicken tenders were pretty tasty though. The service was great, our waitress was super friendly and personable. However, the service was way too fast. We ordered food, and within 20 mins we were eating. It felt like they were trying to get rid of us quickly. Overall, quite expensive for the quality of food. I can get way more bang for my buck at similar restaurants. Will not be returning.

Great little place. Looked very regular from the outside and seemed a little noisy on the inside but you will soon realize it has a very comfortable atmosphere. The food is excellent and the price is great. (We had the mixed plate which came with sausage, pork, chicken, and beef, fries and salad all for 12.95$) The plate we had is recommended as it allows you to taste a little of everything. The meat is so tender and delicious. The chicken is some of the most moist and tender i've ever had. The service was hospitable and kind. Will definitely return again and I highly recommend it to anyone. Excellent choice!

Very good little place. Half cafe/half restaurant. Atmosphere is relaxing except on friday and saturday nights. Salads and sandwiches are excellent. Haven't tried the other items yet but from what I hear they are excellent too. Will be back and highly recommended!

What can I say. This is by far the best smoked meat in the city, and probably the world. Usually have a small plate with a cherry Cott and fries. Has been open forever and it is no surprise why. Extremely recommended. Please do yourself a favor and have something with smoked meat. You will not be disappointed!
