Hands down the best French restaurant in the West Island, when you factor location, price, choice and quality. My favorite here is the apple pie dessert. It's an entire pie for one person, hand made, worth the half hour wait. It's served hot out of the oven. Not a meat fan, I've had many fish here, and it's a treat every time.

Just know that it's a pricey restaurant, however, you get what you pay for. For a party of 12 adults, drinks & wine, tab was a reasonable 2,500. (Everyone had at least two drinks/beer, and plenty of wine bottles) Compared to downtown and the hassle, for a high class party, this is a great spot. Food was excellent but not outstanding for this class of restaurant, and our waiter could have been more professional. No, we don't want the 250$ seafood sample platter for a group entrée, thank you. Most likely a repeat for the company party, a nice change of pace to the fancy - too many of them - Italian restaurants in the West Island.

Giving only a 4/5, for the price, expected more. More food, better wine. At this price, might as well charge an extra 10$ per person to include an extra entrée and desert choice. The boat ride is excellent, you don't feel like you're moving at all, and seeing the sunset at the Boucherville islands is a thing to see, at least once. So I've been there once, don't plan to again. One 'bad' thing that happened, that I did not give a lower star rating for: - A mid-50's woman, probably from drinking too much, became nauseated. So halfway through the cruise, Le Capitaine turned around, docked to a waiting ambulance. Despite the insistence of many, the boat remained docked. We could stay on the boat until 11pm or leave. It was like only 9:30. So we left. There is zero view when docked.

We took last night their dinner for 2 vegetarian special, had the waiter decide for us. He took the most common ones for us. Lentil soup for entrée. It was almost full on a Wednesday night, a sure good sign. The soup and sauces were spicier than Pushap that we've been to a few times, and of similar quality. However the main course and the Naan bread were wonderful, and not at all overly spiced. So I was able to adjust to my taste with the traditional three sauces. The basmati rice was to die for. Even the music was nice, the price was excellent. We took our leftovers and added a rice. Merits a 5/5 for a double $$ type of restaurant.
