My experience when I went for lunch recently was awful - I will NEVER go back! This lunch was a birthday treat, and I chose this restaurant because I enjoy the fish special on Friday. We arrived at 1:05, at 1:30 after numerous requests enquiring who was our server - the waitress took our order - omitting to mention the soup included in the special. I requested the soup, along with the fish special. I received my soup at 1:45, after offering to pick it myself from the kitchen. At 1:55, we left - without any lunch. My friend generously paid the $3.75 for my bowl of soup. Not once did the waitress come to our table to inform us that the order had been placed, and apologize for the wait. Only when we left, did she deign to inform us that she had placed the order. Will I be going back? No, I enjoy eating at restaurants where I receive service and respect. As a senior, I am neither invisible nor was I rude, but I expected better service and to enjoy my meal.

I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation! The food is always tasty - freshly prepared, and the service is always friendly. The dishes have an authentic Indian flavour, not rich and greasy like a lot of Indian restaurants. The atmosphere is casual and friendly, and the service is always pleasant and punctual. If you want a tasty, moderately priced meal in a casual atmosphere, make Thali a regular choice.
