The food is very good at Elixor. A restaurant with a heart. Yes, big menu, but they know how to move their ingredients, keeping everything fresh. Good Job.

Its come to my conclusion that Customers in general ask way too much from the restaurant business. Take care of your miss behaved kids, general rudeness to staff, lack of manners (and this being an increasing problem with all customer service), impatience (let the place cook the food), wanting it all for nothing, expecting freebies for any little problem that may occur ( legitimate or not). Considering the precarious nature of the restaurant business, and how expensive it is too operate a restaurant, it would be nice for the general public to be REALISTIC. That said, Elixor has a pretty big menu that they pride themsleves to offer good service, good food, for a GOOD PRICE. No concept is perfect and not one employee is the same, But your gonna tell me Elixor is worst than say Houstons...or Kelseys, or maybe St Hubert BBQ. I know for a fact that Elixor uses Angus beef for their burgers, for 13$. WOW.

The Baton Rouge phenomenon. This chain has certainly changed over the years, but the ribs and fries remain their staple. Thus the 3 stars. 3 Stars also for a professional, adequate, polite corporate style service. As for the bar; wines are excessively over priced. And most other items as well, beer being the best choice or a bloody caesar. A recurring problem that BR has is its inability to get you a hot steak. Warm being the best I have seen in over 30 visits to various locations. Service may also vary per location, but as a rule of thumb it generally is OK. The ambiance at most locations is warmly lit, wood and earth tones through out. Steak House style. The Laval location is usually very consistant, and the ribs are excellent. Prime Rib has a tendancy of being a little too fat, and adding the luke warm factor, I recommend avoiding. The Boisbriand location is a disappointment, but the rogue Place des Arts store is a great spot at Jazz Fest. Madisons Grill at Carrefour has no chance at all against the BR Laval store.
