Hands down my favourite restaurant in Montreal. Plus, ever since I've brought some of my friends there - it is their favourite resto as well! The outside is admittedly sketchy and the decor is nothing to rave about... but oh. my. GOD THE FOOD! Everything is shared among the members of the table, so the more people you have, the more dishes you get to try. Some standouts are: fattouch, hummus (best ever), yabrak (hot grape leaves - not at all like the greasy dolmades elsewhere), kibbes, and the filet mignon that melts in your mouth! The food is flavourful and exotic, but simple - even picky eaters love it! Go there and prepare to roll yourself out of a great culinary experience!
Yes, it's in a mall. Yes, it's horribly commercialized food. Yes, it's borderline fast food (only with real utensils). Yes, it's one of my favourite guilty pleasures on the island. I even prefer it to Arahova, because you can actually taste the food as opposed to simply tasting the garlic (this, from the girl who has never met a garlic bulb she didn't love). Service is always friendly and efficient, salad is always fresh and properly crispy, and the taste is just mmm...mmm... comfort!
Don't waste your money on anything else - order a pizza and you will be a happy camper! (For what it's worth, I could start a religion around the sundried tomato and bocconcini pizza... yummy!)
