Good options overall for vegetarians, vegans, but probably not as great for raw foodists unless you order two salads and a smoothie to get a full meal. I do wish they had more uncooked main dishes (meaning outside salads), more coconut and soy-free smoothies, and less soy/tofu dishes. Overall, it was good and the service was decent. Nothing amazing, but I appreciate the quality of food they offer and its contribution to healthier options in restaurants.

The food is just like any other fast food Lebanese place, but this place seems to get my order wrong very often. When it's usually a delivery and I open it to find they messed something up, I'm not pleased. Plus, twice when I called back to talk to them about it, they made it sound like I said something else and that it was my fault. Not cool. Granted, this was about a year ago - hopefully it has changed.

I really liked the ambience, not to mention they offer gluten-free injera if you ask for it. :) Good, typical dishes, but they taste better than some of the places I've been to in other cities. Worth checking out for a romantic dinner or get together for a birthday amongst adults. Friendly, smiling waiter - overall good experience and plan to go back one day.

It's really hard for me to eat out because not only am I vegan, but mostly a raw vegan. I'm also allergic to gluten, dairy, soy, coconuts, peanuts and seafood in general, and am sensitive to artificial ingredients. If you share some of these dietary restrictions, I guarantee that at Acajou, you won't have ANY problems! I knew I'd be heading to Acajou in advance, so I called to talk to the owner about my dietary needs. He was SO nice and flexible! I was reassured when he informed me that they are very aware of different allergies because they do catering for major film sets. We talked about my allergies, and he offered alternatives to what was on the menu, as well as dishes that weren't even ON the menu! Amazing!! Very few restaurants offer this kind of flexibility! When I went, I kept my order simple with a lentil soup and a small spicy mango salad, along with herbal tea. Everything tasted great! I had questions about some other soups when I was making my order regarding allergies, and the waiter kindly went to talk to the chef twice for me because he wasn't sure. I felt badly, but I truly appreciated this - it's so rare! Plus, the head chef came to serve me my food personally to check if everything was safe for me. I'll never forget the caution and kindness this restaurant offered me - plus the food tasted amazing! Definitely a place to go back! I also found out they have pure, fresh cane juice made directly from cane sugar plants growing in the restaurant, as well as coconut water served right from young thai coconuts! The owner told me they sometimes have live bands playing there too, so I will have to check it out again on one of those nights! Nice, relaxed, fun and romantic atmosphere, all in one. I'd recommend it as a place to meet for business meetings as well. Food: great! Owner/chefs/waiter: incredibly kind Service: absolutely excellent Vegan and allergy-friendly: you bet! Just call a day or two in advance. Will I go back: absolutely!
