J'aime bien manger! =)
We arrived, sat down inside but by the window, and ordered chicken fajitas and beef fajitas. They came pretty fast (restaurant was maybe 1/3 full at that time), hot, and super yummy!
I love fajitas, but these were amazing. I liked the flavor a lot, and although at first I thought the meat quantity was a bit tight,... I left the restaurant rolling on my belly! So, the Fajitas include a hot plate with meat, pepper and onion, 5 warm tortillas, and 5 small recipients with cheese, guacamole, mexican tomato sauce, mexican beans sauce and cream. Food was warm, well seasoned... so I'd give it a 5.
As many mexican restaurants, very joyful, very nice. the plates also had a good presentation and it made the meal more enjoyable for sure.
Waiters are nice and bring you whatever you need pretty fast. Some of them also speak good Spanish (well, the mexicans one I guess) and that's nice for when you go to these restos ^^ I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5, because for the work they had, they could have given a bit more conversation. But it's not a bad point, it's just that I'm more used to small restaurants where waiters talk to you and ask you about the food.
For sure :D Specially on Weds night, because they have a special deal with the fajitas ^^ and that's what i'd order anyway. Hehe.
Yes, either for dinner with friends, family or couple. Also good for lunch with work colleagues, although not for closing business deals maybe ^^ cuz its a bit informal.
A very nice boulangerie where you can find a huge range of breads and pastries. I particulary love the brownie and the pain au chocolat, but most of the things i've tried from there are great. we usually have it on sundays mornings and even though it is a bit pricey, once a week is Ok =)
I went to Jano for a birthday party. The restaurant isn't very big, but it is still comfortable.
The service was good and attentive, they were fast and nice.
The food was good, but not spectacular, for me who comes from Spain and is used to similar food. It was too grilled for my taste, but well... I guess it depends on each person.
As we were in a birthday, one of the group told a waiter they could invite us for a piece of cake, more like joking, but they actually gave the birthday girl a portion! So that was a nice detail from their part. =)
This Pâtisserie has tooons of cute and nice cakes and breads, mostly Chinese style. I have tried only few of them, but they were all good. They range from typical Sweet bread to buns filled with meat (salty). They also have beautiful cakes with a very economical price.
The place itself is quite nice, however, I have to recognize it is not so clean, as we saw some spider web here and there. However, I believe food is clean and the times I've been there, I didn't have any problem.
Try the buns filled with chicken, they're so tasty! Also the sweet stuff, I don't know how they're called, just try everything :P
This small restaurants serves almost only dumplings. You can actually see them doing them, just like in China. The dumplings were OK; I didn't love them but maybe I'm used to real good dumplings. The service was not very good... there were only 2 people for the whole restaurant and we sat and waited for them to clean our table for 10 minutes. Also, when we left, the waiter said in front of us that he felt the tips weren't enough. It's true that I come from Europe, and there we ONLY tip if the service was good. However, as we knew we were in Canada, we tipped, but he still said it wasn't enough in a very rude way.
Whatever, the dumplings were OK, it's a fun experience, specially for the ones who haven't tried them before. But that's all. I wouldn't go back very often, just when I'm starving for dumplings.
Uhm, what can I say?
This is one of the most famous places in Montréal for eating "Poutine"... but I didn't like it at all. If you like Poutines, this might be a restaurant for you, but I didn't like it as it is too greasy and flavory, that in the end you don't feel any flavor.
The local was full (like almost always if you don't go very early or very late). We went at 8, so it was pretty full and there was a long queue. For taking away, however, there's a faster queue (still will have to wait for 20 minutes, but it's already faster!).
What we did, was ordering for take away and sitting at a Bar right next to it. The bar was a bit dark, but it was fine, and they had many board games, so you can eat and play while drinking a beer or a cocktail.
