Typical Montreal sushi. Not authentic, more fusion. Tried negi-hama which is more true Japanese rolls compared to outrageous rolls and they were ok. Quality of fish is not high, but that is typical of fusion sushi places. Some appetizers were good. If you like non authentic fusion Japanese, you will enjoy this place. Tempura was litle closer to true form (right kind of batter )

Not authentic at all. Why do I know this? Because I am Japanese and the sushi just wasn't how it's supposed to be. Many of the cut rolls had too much crap stuffed in them with basically ponzu drizzled over them. If not ponzu, then it's the unagi sauce (eel sauce). Rolls fall apart easily due to poor wrapping skill by the sushi chefs and due to too much sauce. I mean who puts grapes in sushi. Seriously??? Service was horrible. We went early on a weekday. Not enough servers working. No wonder there is always a wait here. Not because the food is good but because service is so slow. Maybe they should spend less time and energy on presentation and try to focus on quality of sushi and service. Oh and please, learn how to use the right type of batter before you call them "tempura". So if you like outrageous rolls which you can't even taste what you are eating, other than ponzu, go here. But if you are looking for truly authentic Japanese sushi, this ain't it.
