What a great time. Yesterday, with such a large group, I was thoroughly impressed with the timeliness of the service, the deliciousness of the meal and the courteousness of the staff. Thanks for making our work party such a special evening.

Please read this review beofre spending $170.00 + like we did. For starters we were informed that the upstairs section was not open and given a table in high traffic, which really is to be expected without reservations. We ordered a bottle of wine Ripassa which retails $25.30 which they sell for $60, so that's nearly 2.5 times the cost. We ordered a veal cutlet from the menu with small salad and a pork cutlet from the table d'hôte with a scallop dish. For the pasta side sauce we were given three choices which did not appeal to us, so we asked that the pasta simply be mixed with a little olive oil, the waiter said is was $3 upcharge per person, and when I asked his reasoning considering we were asking for something simpler, he said the sauces were already made! So I guess they press their own oil. We received our entree 2 minutes after ordering without being able to sip our wine peacefully; the small salad had too much vinegar but still eatable. As for the scallop dish, the pastry holding it was stale. When the waiter asked how it was I mentioned the staleness but that the stuffing was pretty good; he half heartedly shrugged and never went to speak to the kitchen or came back with any inputs. Now to the bottle of wine. I twice had to refill our glasses; which begs the question why pay 2.5 times the retail price if we have to self-serve? Our main arrived with the pasta sauce forced on us with sketchy economies of scale principles. Apparently the waiter of chef chose the kinds of noodles for me, because I don't like penne, yet there is was starring me in the face. As we began eating, three people walked in next to our table without reservations. One of the people asked for upstairs seating and low and behold they were whisked upstairs...now I was annoyed. The meal was okay (minus the pasta); we poured the rest of the wine ourselves as our waiter was nowhere to be found. We received the bill and tipped according to service, 5% (he did say hello). The waiter made a face went to his manager who came to our table. He asked if everything was okay, we started explaining and he started arguing at which point I said very straightforwardly, "don't worry, we won't be coming back", to which he said fine, with a smirk and went to whisper with the waiter throwing us some sidelong looks...we didn't even finish our wine. Buyer beware!
