Restaurant Graziella
Vieux-Montréal
Service
Nourriture
2.0

One of the most overrated restaurants I have ever been to. First of all, the waiters there, as I had heard before going, were snooty and inattentive. After asking for more water, we waited for 20-30 minutes on two occasions and when we had questions about the menu, the replies were arrogant, as if we should have known what all the ingredients and items were. I will admit that some of the food we ordered was quite good. In particular the seared tuna appetizer was fantastic. However, the pheasant ravioli was full of bones, which made it extremely unpleasant to eat. Overall, I would in no way recommend this restaurant to anyone despite critical acclaim among some reviewers/ journalists. While some food was good, I did not find it outstanding and certainly not worth the cost and the poor service.

4.5

The food at La Chronique is outstanding, from the appetizers right on through. I would easily rank this as one of the top five restaurants I have tried in Montreal. The Foie Gras hamburger was particularly delicious. The portions here are not huge, but comparable to other restaurants of this caliber. I did not try one single item that was sub-standard. The service was also very good, albeit slightly pretentious at times, but one can hardly complain with how attentive they were. I was a bit surprised that the restaurant was as empty as it was when we went, however. Hopefully, more people will come to appreciate it in the near future.

2.5

I was honestly disappointed with L'Express, having heard great things before going there. The food was very average and lacked much flavor. The steak was good, but other selections fell short. The best word I can find to describe the food would be plain. The restaurant had a lot of atmosphere but it also felt like tables were almost on top of each other. Overall, I fell this restaurant did not meet the expectations I had for it.

Le Club Chasse Et Pêche
Vieux-Montréal
Service
Nourriture
5.0

Without a doubt, one of the finest restaurants I have eaten at in Montreal. From appetizers to mains to the desserts to the wine list, everything we tried was of the highest quality. In particular, the baby pork risotto with foie gras shavings was outstanding. The wait staff was helpful and provided good recommendations on wine pairings. The price is a touch on the high side, but well worth it each time I have been back.
