Déjeuner Cosmopolitain
Chomedey
Service
Nourriture
5.0

The Chronicle’s team of intrepid judges got up extra-early for a few mornings in a row in order to check out the best possible places to have breakfast in the West Island as based on nominations sent in by our readers. In third place came Café de Luxe, at the Marché de l'Ouest on De Salaberry Boulevard in Dollard des Ormeaux. De Luxe serves some local breakfast classics such as western omelets or eggs and bacon, and cooks them up quickly and efficiently too. Best of all, they do not stop breakfast service during the rest of the day. So if you find yourself waking up a little too late on a Saturday, you will know exactly where to go. In second place came Le Petit Munich, a boulangerie at the corner of St. John's and Pierrefonds boulevards in Pierrefonds. It might not seem like a typical breakfast choice, but their delicious coffee, along with a variety of baked goods and delicious cold cuts will quickly convince you otherwise. Many of their cuts come in mild, medium or hot options, and there is no shortage of freshly baked buns to stack them on. Munich also serves German specialties such as potato cake, and many products imported from Germany as well. However, there can only be one first-place winner, and in this case it was Déjeuner Cosmopolitain on the corner of St. John's Boulevard and Labrosse in Pointe Claire. Whether you are having one of their more traditional meals, like the many different types of omelets they serve, or a steak and eggs combo, you can expect your food to be exquisitely done. This all the more remarkable considering the restaurant draws huge line-ups every weekend morning. Also located in Chomedey Laval, At 3208 St. Martin. Same great food same great ambiance.
