I had heard great things about Corneli and read very positive reviews which made our experience doubly disappointing. We waited 20 minutes before anyone even showed up at our table to talk about anything. The Arancini was dry and over cooked - as if they had been cooked well in advance and heated up for serving. The lasagna was tasty and very filling. The worst part of the experience of the evening was after eight of the entree's had been served and my wife was still waiting for her dinner, we actually had to ask where it was. No one even noticed that they were short one meal. The length of time it took until the meal was cooked and served made it very clear the meal was not just forgotten, nothing had even started until we called staff back to our table and asked where the meal was. A decent restaurant would have at least comped the missing meal, but not at Corneli. With so many outstanding restaurants in Montreal, there is no reason to ever visit Corneli again.
